nah, i love that program... i just hate it as well.. expecially when you do a weeks worth of work.. just for the textures not to work right.. or when you rig it it deforms incorrectly.. just little shit that pisses me off about it..

only real program i use with maya is ZBrush.. great program.. once you get over its screwy interface.. i'm not a big fan of 3DSM, or Rhino.. but then again.. i suck at modeling.. im more of an animator..

oh and some more maths

this is what I ended up with this year. qunatum physics isnt really at all philosophical, its just analysing experiments and looking at what they say about stuff such as space having a finite size and other really interesting things. the astro modules are fun as well, most of those ive already done in first semester which was hell, but 2nd will be a much nicer ride

winter quarter, taking two philosophy classes and japanese 112.

whisp, why do you say Kant sucks? i almost told you off instantly, but, seeing your courses, im presuming because you think philosophy is full of bullshit with little scientific backing? that's sort of how i am, but then i reason it out considering the united states, the most powerful civilization of humanity in the 21st century, is based on philosophy and philosophy alone.

i love philosophy. and i know Kant was stuck in a time when spirituality reigned over science, but i still can't help but get a massive headache whenever i read about any philosopher whose every word is dedicated to a higher power. i just feel like he's wasting his time, my time, everyone's time leading us all down the wrong path. so, if i said Kant sucks, i dunno, he might've been a good guy and a great brain, but i can't take what he says seriously.

I want to finish School...I'll do it sometime I have been at the same full time job since I graduated high school (7 + 1/2 years) and luckily worked my way up to an Engineering position with no Engineering degree making good money. I would like to get a degree so I can make more $$$. Working full time and going to school sucks balls though. I end up not doing my homework, because I hate having 0 free time. Mucho props to those who can pull it off =D>

Because he wasn't concerned with morality, he was an anti-moralist. And in his books he doesn't even present his arguments in a rational way, he uses Aphorisms.

After getting fired from his university job he went and lived on a mountain by himself where he wrote like 10000 books. Then he was batshit crazy and became a vegetable.

Most philosophers don't even consider him to be noteworthy in the academic realm.

I just read his "On the Geneology of Morality." And while interesting, it's not convincing.

i havent read much nietzsche, but i know he's kinda nuts. i don't hold that against him though. the only philosophers or thinkers i will strongly back are richard dawkins, dan barker, ayn rand, and also jimmy carter as a political philosopher.

This semester looks like....... (another light load, working more hours at the ole' valet job)

POS 210 - Political Ideologies
PHI 306 - Applied Ethics
ARD 320 - Asian Art (wtf I dunno, couldn't get into my math class)
MUS 380 - Jazz in America (fucking culture credit)

I'd like to get rid of Asian art and Political Science, and then hopefully get another math class and a mass communications class. But that's just me. All of the classes seem easy as hell, which'll be good so I can focus on making lots of money this semester

Mandos, where do you go to school?

Whisp, before I had read any Kant I would have agreed with you. However, once I read about 25 pages in his Prolegomena I appreciated his philosophy without having to deal with his religion. The thing that I read that I liked the most was Kant's addition to the Incongruent Counterparts arguement which provided me with too much to just ignore the man altogether.

Just the local community college. I will probably transfer to University of Washington when I graduate highschool (I should also get my AA degree when I graduate).

I actually wanna transfer to UW. I'm getting pretty sick of ASU, and Phoenix in general.

At first 60,000 kids and a real alcohol-rich city is fun, but after 2 years you kinda just wanna sit around and read a book in a coffee shop. If you go to a coffee shop down here you have to wait 15mins in line and then sit outside on the curb because all the seats are taken. Rawr, annoying

Sorry, derail, carry on
