Even if you particularly don't enjoy anime, this is a good watch. I can't summarize it without making it sound hokey (as with 99% of anime), but stick with it.

Manga was amazing until the end of the first story arc. After that it was fucking stupid as hell. L makes the entire thing worth it though. Do yourself a favor and read the manga and the entire L arc and skip the anime completely.

Need to find the manga then, haha I'll have to look for it outside of bittorrent, I'm still on a restricted network.

i enjoyed the watch, but the opening would be much better with female vocals and maybe a loud male backup

eBay? You can buy an identical copy of it.

But if you want a real notebook, just go to Borders or Barnes & Noble and pick up a Moleskin notebook. They're probably the best notebooks in the world to write on.

hmm, ive been enjoying the anime. i started watching the subbed episodes about a month ago and im appreciating them well enough, but I havent reached the end of the L arc so im not sure how much im going to go through.
