Solid ep last night. Jack pulling a tony to save Milo was pretty hardcore. The scene with Jack/Phillip was stellar as well. Logan with a beard is priceless.

Logan said he "wanted something" in the scenes from next episode, and the camera cut to a picture of him and his wife (ex-wife?). I wonder what Martha will have to do with all this. I seriously hope Martha and Aaron Pierce are together now, that would be funny.

Aaron Pierce is the king! It kicked ass to finally see him in action in season5 lol. He's one of only 2 characters who have appeared in every single season (without dying, otherwise David and Tony count), the only other being Jack. He's gotta keep the streak alive.

Makes no sense that Palmer is asking hamri asswad to help out the country as if anything asswad did(as a terrorist) was justified. So friggin stupid. David Palmer wouldn't deal with this crap.

assad helped them with the fayed investigation. palmer is at last-resort stage now. makes sense.

(g`~`)g
fuck that shit

However, it seems assad just might have maybe saved him from the bomb. I think it's super-gay (and super predictable) that even though Palmer's letting assad help, he doesn't want to give any rights to logan, even in exchange for last resort help(though he did let Logan help).

Meanwhile omfg Jack is gonna kill more consulates jesus christ has he not learned his lesson? I think that russian consulate is the guy who played Denethor in Lord of the Rings. I like the way this season seems to be shaping up with Gredenko trying to orchestrate a war ( a la seas2) between the middle east and the usa. I really hope that eventually all these "Patriots" (sup MGS) from over the years are finally pieced together. IE: Kingsley and his men, Graem's people, and now Carson and whoever his boss is.

We still need to find out what the price for Jack's release from china was.

So

Doyle is becoming more and more of a good guy
Gredenko is dead
Fayed has been captured
Noah Daniels is no longer a threat
Wayne Palmer is hopped up on adrenaline and has sanctioned a nuclear attack on Fayed's country

I've been saying Doyle's basically a bizarro Jack Bauer for weeks but my mom doesn't want to believe it. I have a feeling he'll have one huge epic heroic moment before the end, something even Tony Almeida couldn't do. I think it's awesome that he walks around the office with his gun. haha

Gredenko's moonlit death sequence was pretty romantic I must say, his love story with Fayed had such a tragic end. lol

I almost thought Fayed was gonna fight his way out of the redneck bar since he handled himself alright for the first 5 seconds. If he hadn't shot that one guy the others probably wouldn't have kicked the crap out of him. He's so screwed now.

Tom Lennox fucking assraped VP Noah Daniels. I thought Noah was just gonna beat him up and steal the recording lol. That guy looks like my dad.

Every episode has a big ending moment after the segmented screen part, but wow this one outdid all the others from this season. I thought the phone call would be something about Wayne having a heart attack or collapsing but holy shit, he ordered the nuclear strike.

So here's the way I see it as of now.
The plot to drop 5 nuclear bombs on the USA was hatched by Gredenko. Fayed, his pawn, would be the one who actually launched them, thus causing a war between the middle east and the USA, which was Gredenko's original intent. The one thing Gredenko had to make sure of was to hide his involvement and that of any Russians, he failed at this thanks to Consul Anatoli Markov. Right then the whole plan fails because now everyone knows this isn't being funded by the Middle East, but wait! Noah Daniels just wants to blow up some camel jockeys. (...) Noah Daniels is ousted from power, at this point you can say the whole plan has failed. Wayne Palmer knows the middle east has nothing to do with this, Russian president Suvarov even sanctioned an American attack on the Russian Consulate in order to take Markov into custody. So once Noah Daniels is out of power, there can be no orchestrated war, since the true culprit has been unveiled, BUT WAIT! Wayne is hopped up on adrenaline and has lost control of his faculties. Nuclear Bombs are airborne and headed for their Middle Eastern targets. All hell is breaking loose, World War III, which his brother already narrowly avoided 8 years ago, is imminent.

1: Why is this happening?
2: With Gredenko dead and Fayed in custody, will we find a higher boss above them both in the next 8 episodes (Return of Phil Bauer?)?
3: Wtf is up with Wayne Palmer, and will he be trialed by the cabinet again?
4: Will Jack die next week? (lol)
5: Will Doyle be the hero for the rest of the season if Jack can no longer function?
6: Who are the Patriots and where have they been/what have they been doing since the attempt on Palmer's life? WHO ARE THE LA-LI-LU-LE-LO?!

This season has been an absolute laughing stock. This show has turned to UTTER SHIT. They reuse plotlines CONSTANTLY.

How many times have they had an ambitious and evil vice-president (not to mention once in season 2 he wanted to drop a bomb on 'a middle eastern country' but was stopped by palmer). How many more times does jack have to get to a location, set up a sting operation, have something go wrong and then do it again? How many fucking times do we have to get the same goddamn CTU bullshit where some hardass from division comes and sets up shop. How many times do people have to try and assassinate the president and almost succeed? This show is such a goddamn joke. I only watch it because it happens to be the only thing on before The Riches anyways.

You guys know that I have a point. If you've watched all of the seasons and still think the show is as good as its been then you're absolutely lying because it's empirically horrible now.

so what if they have revisited scenarios but added twists? it worked then and it works now.

this show is dying--trying to keep people interested by jumping from cheap thrill to cheap thrill, most of which are almost instantaneously resolved and lacks any overarching storyline that's even remotely palatable.

The only sillypoint I found last night was when the vote was tied, the Attorney General said a tie makes the President the winner, when in Season 2 the tie had to be broken.
