A bunch of brits on somethingawful were talking about how things like this would never happen in Britain and that America is a country of violence so someone simply posted a statistic of all the people killed and injured during soccer games and it shut them up quite well haha

No.. the British really can't say anything about the U.K. being less violent. It's a stupid debate anyway.

I have no idea how the gun laws in Canada work. Ive never been interested in owning a gun before.

The only reason I've ever seen a gun before in person is because my sisters a cop and so is my good friend

I wonder what country is statistically the safest to live in, if you normalise the population to make it a fair comparision.

Course theres a kettle of fish about what safe means...but I guess least amounts of violent crime/knife/gun/other dangerous weapon deaths. Ah who cares, not like anyone is going to move to a different country over it.

Knife crime is bad in the UK for certain. But like arguments that even if guns were illegal in the US, Cho could have gotten one anyway; a kitchen knife can be deadly and so too can a biro or pair of nail clippers.

Edit: Yea lol at the source for this, but that Michael Moore film showed a place on the US-Canada border, where each town had just as many guns as the other, but the Canadian side had practically zero gun crime, and the US had ..more. Maybe I have that wrong, its been a while since I saw the film.

It's not really guns, knives or bombs that are the problem in the end, its the society that creates people wanting to use them in destructive ways...etc
