I went to germany not even knowing how to read the bathroom stalls. You can get by just about anywhere in the world pointing/gesturing and occasional sputterance of short phrases if you're feeling brave. Granted it might help to know at least something of katakana or whatever but I doubt it's nessecary to have a good time and to do stuff.

Goddamn I would kill to go to Japan. My sister's dormmate in NYC is from Japan. She is pretty hot also and barely speaks English (uses "R" instead of "L" all the time lmao). My sister is going to Japan with her summer 2008. I want to tag along baaaad, but I dunno since they are staying with her parents.

I'm actually writing my entire experience there down on paper for my own records, and am going to make a copy of it onto my computer so that I can post the entire thing, in as much detail as possible, on my online journals, so I'll just hold out and post a link to that when it's done.

There's actually 4 new Eva movies in production that are a retelling of the original series, collectively called "Rebuild of Evangelion." Plus the last movie will be an alternate ending separate from the last two episodes and End of Evangelion
