This year looks to be an AWESOME year for action and adventure movies. Supafly has a wicked thread talking about all the movies coming out this year.

But I wanted to talk about a movie that was over looked in that thread and seems to be over looked in general.

You can find previews in the link above. This movie looks like its going to be AWESOME. Clearly this movie was totally writen for and around Steve Carell.

Is anyone else as excited for this movie as I am? Its still not out for over a month so its probably still pretty unknown to most.

yeah I saw that and I laughed when steve carell is going to be next MOSES TO BE.

At an initial budget of approximately $140 million, Evan Almighty is slated to be the most expensive comedy movie ever made. Added costs such as set construction, visual effects, and problems with filming multiple animals in a controlled location could bring the budget up to $160-175 million. Once marketing for the film is also included, the film's entire budget is estimated to be $250 million.[4] Steve Carell will earn a reported $5 million for his role in the film.[2]

Sounds like something I won't like. A PG comedy that is over reliant on stupid special effects and not on good character driven comedy. Then again I'm well on the record as being a hater of "Frat Pack" movies (Owen/Luke Wilson, Will Ferrel, and Steve Carell to some extent though he's much better than the others)

Im seeing it based on two people.

Steve Carell and Ed Helms. Ive been a huge fan of both those guys because of their work on the Daily Show.

Oh and honorable mention to Morgan Freeman. I dont think they could have cast someone better to play god lol.

I also thought Bruce Almighty was a pretty funny movie. It wasnt ground breaking or earth shattering, but it was a good movie. Since I never really heard anything good or bad about Bruce Almighty before I saw it, I was pleasantly surprised.

Whoa I didn't even know about that movie. I think I'll like it. I love Steve Carell. This is definately one of the best years for movies. I'm sooooo far behind haha.

A friend told me about this while we were at a bar this weekend. Steve Carell is THE MAN! Great find!

i expect great things from this man.

I have been anxiously awaiting this movie for months....Hope it lives up to my expectations
