So i just got home from transformers and i must say it KICKED ASS!

i have no gripes about the movie whatsoever, i just wanted tp punch the kids behind me who had to ask what the transformers said, and the kiddies in the audience that laughed at jokes and sexual innuendo's they couldn't possible know what they ment, i don't see why these kids are being taken to see something the hardly know jack about.

BTW trailers before the movie looked interesting, I AM LEGEND and some other movie that seems like godzilla but they never showed a title.

It's funny that you were sitting in a kid's movie scorning the kids for "hardly knowing jack" about Transformers. in the end it isn't Shakespeare in Love here, it's big rig trucks that turn into robots

I just saw this movie and it was ok to me. Not bad on looks on autobots and starscream but I didnt like megaton look. He was like fucking forks and knife that was jack up from Dr. Seuss's nightmare.

And Navyr Kids were there too so think big truck change to robots.

That new Adam Sandler movie with the King of Queens dude looks funny. Jessica Biel gave me a hard-on in the trailer. Holy shit she is sexy.

i enjoyed transformers. basically the scenes with the transformers were awesome, and the human storylines and scenes were nothing special, detracting from the movie. i'd give it like a 6.5

Transformers Spoiler / mistakes

If you haven't seen the movie and still plan to...don't read.
So from this all the autobots except for Jazz live, and Starscream and scorponock (without a tail) also live. So you know a sequel will be in the works because from the money it's gonna make, how can Hollywood not do a sequel. But what about the transorfming car that killed that stuck up model bitch, and the mountain dew machine?

Also the biggest plot mistake I found in this was Archibald Witwiky found Megatron in the early 1900s and Megatron imprinted on his spectacles in the early 1900s where the Allspark was located. Well how then, could the Allspark (which they admittedly found along with Megatron in the Arctic be located by The Autobots when this information was imprinted on Witwiky's glasses in the arctic, when the Hoover Dam wasn't even completed until 1935. The location should have been in The Arctic.
Great movie, worth my money.

Also some new "secret" movie trailer shown before the Transformers movie has piqued a bit of interest.

http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/va/2007 ... 43900.html

Quote:
While unleashing "Transformers" onscreen this week, Paramount also lifted the lid on a top-secret project in the form of a teaser trailer for a new film, "Cloverfield."

"Cloverfield," which revolves around a monster attack in New York as told from the point of view of a small group of people, is being produced by "Lost" co-creator J.J. Abrams. It is being directed by Matt Reeves, who co-created "Felicity" with Abrams, and is written by Drew Goddard, who has worked with Abrams on "Lost" and "Alias."

Paramount greenlighted the project under a veil of heavy secrecy in February, about the same time that Abrams agreed to take over the directing reins of the new "Star Trek" film.

The casting process was just as mysterious. No scripts or even scene pages were sent out; agents who were contacted were simply asked if their client wanted to be in the movie. Eventually a cast, made up mostly of relative unknowns, was put together; it includes Michael Stahl-David ("The Black Donnellys"), Odet Jasmin, Mike Vogel ("Supercross") and Lizzy Kaplan ("The Class").

The movie, which is believed to have a relatively modest budget of about $30 million, began shooting in mid-June in New York. With "Transformers" generating huge tracking numbers in the weeks before its release, the studio decided to put footage from "Cloverfield" in a teaser in front of "Transformers" to build buzz.

After presenting the Paramount and Bad Robot logos -- Bad Robot being Abrams' shingle -- the trailer opens with scenes from a surprise going-away party in a New York bar with a view of the city. Before long, a thundering roar is heard, and by the time guests run downstairs, pandemonium and flaming debris are hitting the streets. After a huge explosion at the lower end of Manhattan, what appears to be the head of the Statue of Liberty comes hurtling up the street like a giant projectile.

The trailer's footage is shot by a hand-held camera, home-movie style, giving it a sort of "Armageddon" meets "The Blair Witch Project" feel, though it is not clear if the entire movie follows that style. While the trailer does not reveal the name of the movie, it does announce a release date of January 18.

Several copies of the trailer, seemingly shot in theaters with a camcorder, were posted on YouTube by Thursday morning. But by Thursday afternoon, some of those links had been taken down, replaced by an advisory saying, "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Paramount Pictures Corp."

Reuters/Hollywood Reporter

Looks interesting...post a trailer if ya can find it!

i found transformers kind of boring until the end. there wasn't a lot of action for like an hour in the middle (unless you count the little frenzy bot or something). The CG was very impressive though.

transformers was cool, like most people i wish there was more action

Live free or die Hard was totally awesome the whole time, easily my favorite for the summer so far over anything like spiderman or pirates or transformers. Totally great action non stop. I heard there is apparently an R-rated cut of the film where he actually says the F-word in the movie like he does in every other sentence of the first 3 movies (and smokes), thats what my friend told me anyway... But that john mcclane we all love is still there. but yeah don't let Ponuh influence you guys. It was great, even if it wasn't as gritty as the movies were in the past.

I judge movies on how well I think they accomplish what they set out to do. I liked Pirates 3 decently well because it was entertaining and exciting. I didn't like Spiderman 3 because the effects were really bad and the plot was stupid.

Die Hard is probably my favorite action movie, not because it's so action packed but because it breaks the action mold. Its pacing is very slow, its setting is stagnant, and it's very tension filled. The entire movie builds suspense and tension and never lets go. The second one sucked but the third one achieved some level of mold-breaking action. Also they're all very gritty. Following my method above, I went in to Die Hard with higher expectations because it's supposed to be more than the average action movie. Instead I got something exceedingly average: it was basically a generic Vin Diesel or Jason Statham action movie. It didn't live up to Die Hard in any way.

spoiler response to supafly do not read if you have not seen the movie.
megatron over shot his trajectory and landed in the arctic, but he did know where the allspark was located, and thats why he passed the information on while frozen when the navagation system was activated by witwiki.
Well I think it is just what you really want from the movie. While I do appreciate all of the things you mentioned about the first one (and yeah it is my favorite action movie too), I still think this one lived up to the series and set itself apart from the other ones and surpassed the other two sequels. I think all the character was still there. Saying it is HORRIBLE is a little overkill i think....I don't think sequels should be carbon copies of the originals. If they had John Mcclaine in a stagnant location like you said, you would probably be complaining about how they just tried to copy the original.

I liked the third one too and that didn't have a stagnant location.

It shouldn't have been a generic technobabble "thriller" though. John McClane doesn't jump on jet fighters.

several of the principle actors on 24 left because they "disagreed with the direction the show was taking".

also: "Due to a ratings drop and critical bashing of the season, Howard Gordon released a statement late in the season to say that Season 7 would be re-invented. The only aspects that will return for certain are the real time format and Jack Bauer."

But reality doesn't seem to affect whisp's judgment of anything. If everyone, including the actors (sorry DL the show was so horrible that Bill Buchanan quit), thought the show was shitty, maybe you just have horrible taste and I'm an agent of the majority? No, it couldn't be because I just hate everything!

I thought I presented why I didn't like Die Hard pretty well but you probably didn't read it. I'm sure you were searching google images for another "major burn". Seriously dude: you're not clever if you post images you got from google image search. Get some fucking creativity or something because your "burns" would only be impressive to a hardcore Married...With Children fan (a show you probably adore)

And before you respond with "24 has nothing to do with this you fool" or something let me say that it does and it's pretty clear that's what you were going to say.

I've heard that by 2011 or something Hollywood will be running out of intellectual properties to convert into films. Seriously. There's so little confidence in movies that aren't existing franchises that they're eating up every viable idea in existence. Jesus

Yeah and Im pretty sure Marvel has stopped licencing its heroes out now and is buying as many back as they can. This would be so they can do the movies themselves with the newly created Marvel Enterprises (I miss Marvel Productions, er atleast the old logo with Spider-man on top lol).

That happens to be very true. The first movie being created by their studio I believe is ironman. I Might be wrong. Yea but after all these years marvel released that movies have the capacity to make them a shit ton of money.

I just watched 1408 last week with my man. Definitely worth the twenty bucks to see it in the theater with popcorn. lol I think I peed myself a little... it actually scared me without intense violence or blood. It was very well done in my opinion. Go see it.

Yeah youre right Mikey. Iron Man is going to be the first movie produced by Marvel's in house stuido.

Im super worried though. Avi Arad is no longer with the studio and he was the main guy who oversaw all the marvel movies and TV shows for a long time. They have some new guy in the office and hes a total cock from what Ive read. He the type of guy who would attach a fucking Domino's Pizza logo to the back of Wolverines uniform as product placement and see nothing wrong with it. you know, youre typical douche bag executive.

always a risk yea. But knowing full well the growing potential and the amount of money these movies can make, I really think the marvel movie studio can do it.
Hopefully with their control over things, we can avoid disasters like Catwoman, and fantastic four ( even though financially it did well )
Yarr how did you like transformers? I freaken loved it man. I figured you and tal would freaken love the movie!
