Fiur wow your real picky bastard when comes to cars. lol First off its how you take care of your car so it will last. Second tubro charged engine are more expensive to repairs, must run on 91+ fuels, and if you blow up your engine or turbo that going to burn big ass hole in your pocket to get it fix.

Iolanthe those cars are good when comes to using them right now I am ford focus owner and got 70k mile on it now and never had any plm until I had just replace batt cables due to corrosion on the cables which is normal wear and tear.

only blow it if you dont reinforce it. if you wanna drive your car hard under hi RPM loads 8500+ then you need to put the nessesary reinforcements so that it doesnt blow. paying a few bucks more for good gas is a small price to pay for great power :)

still anytime you have those you still waste too much monies for upgrades or repaires and fuel get suck in more than normal stock engines. but its your monies that you wanna waste, I dont due to family I have and goal set to get house then upgrade on home than car when I can save monies.

Nice mods Fiur! I truely looked into importing an R33...and aside from the pain in the ass of getting it over here, making it street legal in the US is a PAIN IN THE ASS, and very expensive. Thank god Motorex sacrificed a couple for crash testing otherwise it would be impossible.

I saw a guy my age driving a Bayside Blue R34 the other day :( I seriously wetted myself. That is my fucking dream car (well the Z Tune is truely my dream car)...and favorite color. It was near my house...I wanna see it again so I can drool on it.

For me to turbocharge my car with the massive GT35R I'm going to need the block sleeved, pistons, rods, cams, valvesprings, 1000cc injectors, fuel pump, fuel rail, 3" exhaust, LSD, clutch..and other stuff I can't think of from the top of my head. There are 4 guys here now with full race boosted RSX with those mods and they are putting down around 450-500whp on 91 octane lol. I have all the exact parts picked out (brands and everything) and it's going to cost me $11,000ish for everything including the turbo kit. I'm saving for it now and will hopefully start getting it together in March when I get my bonus. My car is paid off in March also :)

It's gonna look like this Image =P~

hmmm 11,000$ on an RSX. i would actually raise that towards more the 15k mark if i were you. not to shatter your dream or anything but to over bore a honda engine is very expensive and labor is gonna eat you alive cuz honda engines dont have very much space to work with after intercooler is installed and especially with the giant GT35R might need some custom work. inform yourself from a good tune shop. dont settle for shady mechanics that say they know everything. rememeber its more worth it to spend a couple grand more but to have a much more reliable car. a good tune also make all the difference in the world. once you get that done i recommend using 20w 50 royal purple oil :) your car will love you for it

hmmm i heard that in the US skylines are crushed =/ but if you can get a hold of a GT-R go for an R34 or R32 they are so much nicer then the R33.
you can forget about the z-tuned tho cuz its like almost 200grand and only like 10 were ever made lol. they arent that spectacular tho i did lots of research on it. you can transform a stock v-spec II into a much better machine then the z-tune. the z-tune produces about 500 awhp which is very strong but i produce 602 awhp and am much more durable considering i only run 15 pounds of boost on each turbo atm :) but i admit the z-tune would be hella sexy

It will more than likely end up around 15,000 in the end. I've researched turbocharging my car a lot. I know all the risks involved and know what needs to be done. The people who would do the work are all local and all have good rep. I'm not just giving some random person money and saying "turbocharge my car". Hondata K Pro is the ultimate engine management system for k seies. You can tune EVERYTHING in the program. We have several great local tuners also. I already have the place picked out for the tune also. K series motors are tough. One of the kids here is running 400whp with a cybernation turbo on 100% stock internals and has been for a while lol.

Skyline don't get crushed in the US. Motorex used to import them and sell them for twice the price they sell in Japan. That company went under and now they are really hard to get here. It is possible to do it yourself it's just a pain in the ass and expensive. The car will get crushed if you don't clear it through customs before/after importing it, or if you drive it before it's passed all the DOT inspections (before it's legal) and get caught.

hmmm hes running a turbocharger on a 100% stock car lol he can expect a nice surprise soon. hes gonna blow the bottom end and need a complete rebuild with a new block and over bore it after. ive seen things like that more then once and price is usually in the 20,000$ range for repairs labor and machine work @_@ tell him to reinforce his engine lol

I'm fairly certain that the R-33's are legal in the US but 32s and 34s are not.

And talking about future mods, once I'm out of school and find a decent paying job, I plan on supercharging my car. A friend of mine wants to open up a garage and start a racing team, but I donno when or if that's all gonna happen, but yeah, dreaming's nice.

He is actually getting it sleeved and installing pistons and rods soon. He ran it for a while on stock internals. It's one hell of a risk but some people just get lucky. We've all seen that go bad. Hell even built motors can go bad.

Our motors are plentiful and cheap. You can get a K20 bottom end with crank, pistons, and rods for a couple grand with low mileage. Many people upgrade to K24 motors (for more torque on NA or supercharge builds) and sell their K20 for cheap.

Tell that to the guy in AZ with a street legal R34. There is a couple R32s here also. And 1 R33 that I know of. I've recently seen R34 on Ebay imported from motorex with VIN numbers and 48 state legal. They are out there if you have the $$.

Ok, unless you spend a lot of money on it, R33's are the only legal ones. The VINs are hard to pull off because Japanese cars have dashes or something in them. It was something with the crash tests that made the R32 and R34 illegal I believe, but I read about it a long time ago.

lemme explain something to you guys. Skyline's or any imported japanese car dont have a VIN number. they have what is called a chasis number of 11 digits. that tends to fuck around with the system a lot which is why a lot of places have banned importing like the US. apart from that another reason is because cars like the GT-R are very easy to modify and break the safety regulations or blah blah so they instantly decommissioned the skyline when it was in production. getting those leagalized in north america is quite a pain in the ass and can cost a lot of money and time.....but its so damn worth it :) ferrari? what ferrari lol

Go to the auction, you never know what you'll find there.

you could always do what these people did to their ordinary cars....

Take a Lexus and take out the old engine, put in a Huge Saleen engine and add a supercharger to it :D

Image

take a very old lincoln you can probably get in a junk yard, and put in what looks to be turbo with 2 cold air intake valves

Image

OR,

Take a Skyline GT-R and put in a Twin Turbo engine :)

(sorry, taking a screenshot from PC while video plays)

Kioto, we have a car auction for repo'd or cars impounded by the police, or just an auction for anything people bring and sometimes there are cars there too.

masterg lol Skyline GT-R comes stock twin turbo. a lot of people like to convert it to single turbo using the mighty HKS T04z with a stage 2 HKS stroker for quicker spool up and massive HP boosts. But me....i went for response power and stability and boy does it pay off :D

I actually got an idea, which may or may not work.

How about having a supercharger mounted in the engine for more power in the lower RPMs, and have that lead to a rear-mounted turbo for once the engine reaches higher RPMs?

How much? 30k doesn't seem very high for that old of a car.

That's good. I don't think I'll every buy a luxury car. They just seem like a waste to me.
