I saw it tonight. I thought it was pretty good; it wasn't the funniest movie I've ever seen (and considering what that show has produced maybe it should have been?) but it's 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000x10^100,000 better than the last few seasons of the show. It bears rewatching and I'm sure I'll be back again. I'd give it a solid B+ because it was certainly funny as hell but it was also a movie that was a very long time coming. Also it would have been excellent for Side Show Bob and Mr. Burns to be more involved in the plot.

I hear that there is almost another movie's worth of extras that will be released on the DVD though.

I was really excited to watch this, really I was. But halfway through the movie, I realized why I always change the channel when Simpson's is on. The show just never holds my interest, and the movie wasn't any better. :(
I like how in the beginning Homer says about everyone being suckers for paying to go see it and I just get to go for free. Haha.
Saw it tonite, still debating if its worth theatre money. It was entertaining. Yet a large part of me feels it would be just as good downloaded or as a rental. I don't think much will be lost from it if not viewed on the "big screen."

Nope, I was with a bunch of friends. Half of whom were just sitting there not really laughing at anything. The hands down funniest parts all were in the commercials... Which sucked because every fucktard in the movie theatre recited them spot-on since the punchlines were so predictable. The emo-bart storyline was wack too, lol.

Sandy vagina aside, I still don't think the movie was any better than the show in my humble opinion. Average, but not bad.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Rush Hour 3.

I saw it in the Cine Capri (biggest screen in AZ) and I have no regrets. The cinematography (if you could call it that lol) was very movie like. It was different than the shows on TV. I agree with Ponuh it was much funnier than the last couple of seasons.

I will see the Simpson's movie eventually. At least it doesn't suck from what I hear, I wasn't expecting anyting fantastic after how crap the show has been lately.

How many more movies can Jackie Chan do and still survive while still doing all of his own stunts. That guy is amazing haha. Legend of Drunken Master is still my favourite movie of his by far.

i saw simpsons movie sunday night, 1/4 the way thru the movie a storm hit so hard we could hear the rain over the movie. 1/2 way through the movie, the storm hit something and the sound died but movie played, so theater stopped the projecter but let the movie run, after 5min the picture and sound came back, but we missed the sled dogs scene and the theater wouldnt rewind the tape when the entire room was yelling at them :(

well you cant rewind those film due to one way film that pulls from center of turning table to machine that project the film then out bottom to another turn table that is already rewinding the film back up so you can pull it from center again to start the movie so that is why we cant rewind those movie I used to work as head projectest that does repairs to starting movies and teardown and bulidup the movie.
