Heres something to think about....


This poster from the FFXIonline forums said that thes new proto crystal in the Attawaon Chasiam.... on that has gold feathers floating around it.

Id like to think if have my finger on the pulse of the FFXI rumor mill (I do read about 5+ large FFXI forums daily) and I have yet to hear about this one.

The possibility of Pheonix makes me a big happy camper. However, I always am quick to believe the rumors. The think is though..... That last video the played at the Tokyo event was very very thick with Avatar undertones (see my Summons or not Summons thread) and if you watch the very end off the video you can see gold feathers blowing towards the screen.

I saw on a board (might be total BS but...) that in one of the later CoP cutscene, they mention the 5 "terrestial" avatars: carbuncle, fenrir, bahamut, diablos, phoenix. So my guess is that if they really add new summons, it would be:

Pso'Xia (sp?): Diablos (heck, you see him in Beaucedine in the trailer)

Attowa Chasm: Phoenix

rumors : Phoenix, Diablos, Carbon (don't know what that is)

Man i like the thought of SMN but they are giveing them soo many new Avatars. i think thet should works jobs thats are gimped or maybe making a new job u can be.

You need to realize tal that Avatars are a key component to all the Final Fantasy game. Infact the best part of alot of the FF games were running around trying to find/unlock new avatars (AKA Summons).

I wish this game had more stuff like that. Of course the harder they make it the more people whine (yeah even me)

Someone on gamefaqs posted pics of her changing her Carby's model to Diablos' model:





Seeing this makes me think that Diablos might really be added as a new avatar, in a futur patch. He have just the right size, and seems to have an "unfolding" animation when summoned...

but he has no unsummon animation though.

Ive always said that he was a summon. Ive alway said that bahamut was.

the real question is...

Will we ever get them?

I would assume we need to finish all the missions to find out. Thats something that isnt even coded into the game.

maybe diablos will be a sam summon and maybe thats the action that the
sam is doing in the cutscene from the trailor. MAYBE!

Yarr was telling about this Rumor where the World totaly oppsite and we fight mobs in the towns and will have use tons of ppl top get thru it A couple months before it was annocued it was Dynamis.
