I dont like to argue about religion, its stupid. I dont mind listening to someone else's opinion and I dont mind expressing my own, but trying to argue religion is pretty stupid.

I don't like when it turns into an argument, but I very much enjoy discussing religion, and anything for that matter. Even if nothing is "resolved" it gives me better insight into others' opinions and maybe, if good points are brought up, I might change my mind a little.

Obviously these discussions usually turn into arguments. So blegh

Where did I say that I believe in a spiritual realm? It is something that was invented by the human mind because people are afraid of not existing. They desperately want to believe that they go somewhere after they die. Us humans are so special that we have some sort of immortal soul that enables us to exist outside of our lifetime on earth. I don't buy that crap really.

You cannot argue with people about their faith, it just causes bad blood. I understand all fronts of the argument but faith really is a subject people shouldn't touch.

If you can't prove something is true (true to the extent of possible human ability, obviously not as true as cogito ergo sum) with empiricism then what can you rely on? Religious faith is inspired by the parents or by the bible? It just doesn't compare to reason and science.
