ok i am 68 closing in to 69.

i was told at 66 i got Spinning Slash and i would be getting pt invites like no tomorrow ... but its not the case

so now i am pting with my good friend in game, who happens to also be a DRK... i have 2 questions:

1. Do two DRK in one pt make decent (not great) exp up to 75?

2. can two DRK do any lvl3 sc? (sorry i am never good at looking at the chart)

Two DRK in a PT at any point is one DRK too many. You can't make a level 3 Renkei with two DRK, and it would really take you awhile yo kill anything due to the nature of our class. We hit hard when it counts, but it's an uphill battle. But recently RNG has become the new fad for DD classes. So just about anyone who wanted to be a big numbers DD and were upset with how they were performing chose to be a RNG. lol There's only a few RNG I know of (I think a few are in CKD, like Lilsakura) who were originally RNG before it went crazy. That's probably why you're having trouble finding a PT. Though, RNG + DRK = Super fast chains.

But RNG aren't really that special. They just have the luxury of standing still during HNM, PT and other like events. And they actually have a useful two-hour that can save PTs. Just hang in there with DRK, and you'll eventually get to the point where things get easier for you. It's just the flood of other people and classes reaching 65+ at this point. The game has been out for about a year in the US now, so it's only natural for the flood.

The trick to getting parties for classes like, SAM, DRK, MNK and such (classes that are good, but generally people dont understand) is to make them yourself. Znake was a very fast leveler. The reason he leveled with such ease was that he made all his own groups.

yeah im pting with lung and topez all the time now.... if we have a brd in pt to enhance acc, we can get to chain4 its not uber exp but its fun pting with people u know instead of those silent but fast killer pts.

i want to try have a RNG next time to replace the BLM and see how well it works..

D, the way we worked that pt last night was great... if we'd replace the dam blm, it would have been great lol. Sure, 2 DRKs can't do lev3 SC, but we managed to do it anyway by including me in the SC.

We pulled chain #4 a lot, and it wouldn't have been for that other pt there, we would have killed much faster.

Sure, there are ideal PT setup, but in the end, it's the players that will determine how good a pt can be.

Ya, you could easily. I was in the following perm: PLD, DRG, DRK, WHM, (BRD or RDM), (BLM). We didn't have a blm or rdm/brd with us, so we just picked up whatever was available at the time. We did Darkness most of the time. I don't think we ever really liked Ro'Meave, King Ranp's Tomb or sky for exp (just because we hadn't explored it to find the good spots) so we stuck with Kuftal til 75. Haha. We'd kill tigers and cockatrices so fast, that we'd just save TP on them and do Swift Blade > Spiral Hell on Ladons. Ended them in about 15 seconds. This was before Kuftal became the clusterfuck it is today.

Anyway, I think Spinning Slash > Swift Blade >> Gravitation > Cross Reaper/Spiral Hell >> Darkness

we were killing lizzards in Den.. we tried Darkness(swift blade > cross reaper) and Fragmentation(Swfit blade > Spinning slash).. found Fragmentation does more dmg so we stick with it

i know my pt isn't the ideal setup but we mainly want to have fun , less of an exp. machine. it can make lvling a lot easier

Well, dunno if you know this but the more WS chained together, the greater the damage maximum for the next renkei will be. So a 3 man chain should be more damaging than a 2 man.

Ya, the next melee I'm leveling is SAM just because it looks so much fun. Haha. I just hit 30 with it, but I haven't even gotten to test out Meditate in combat. ; ;

Ouch. I so wish I hadn't had my char deleted or had quit. I was ahead of Topez and Lung (and Zakath) for awhile. It kills me a little inside every time.
