I just recently started a taru war cause my hume is suspended for stupid reasons, anyway i fell in love with it and im getting PL'ed to lvl 30. i was wondering how do taru Drk's fair up in the higher lvls. i just wanna see what im expecting cause im going taru drk no matter what any of you say. but yea im looking at damage, magic maybe oh what kinda weapon should i be useing i heard GS are way better endgame but im think ill keep both GS and Scythe capped. w/e gimme your imput

Race for DRK in the end really doesn't matter they all have their ups. Be sure to keep GSD and SCY both capped, if you only have one you are half as effective. Why was he suspended?

Well its true that you should keep both GS and scythe updated, but mainly scythe since GS really isnt useful (at all in comparison) until lvl 66 (mainly due to spinning slash) to 75. the spells most often used by me are drain spells, aspir, Stun (big one), absorb spells (str dex etc), if you can keep your enfeeble up get sleep 2, and buy tier 2 spells and throw in a tiny bit of dmg from MBs (or you can be a lazy drk, hit auto attack, and go afk 10 years while you wait for tp and do jack lol).

i dont entirely agree where sparky says that race for DRK wont matter in the end game. its true that items will help balance things out in the end game, but you wont ever have as much str or atk as some other drks, and they will never have as much mana as you (unless they sacrifice some +Acc or +atk or str gear for it, which is dumb imo). You wont be equal, but it will be close enough that it wont really matter.

this is just my 2 cents worth coming from a 75 drk, im sure some other drks in ckd can add some things to what i had to say

Your MBs might not be as worthless as other races of DRKs are. Also WS are usually determined by more than one stat, like Spiral Hell damage is dependant on STR and INT for its primary source of power. Landasia used to prowl the boards, so he could probably tell you more being the only NA taru DRK that level.

Effectiveness isn't the issue.. It's all about the looks.
It should be what you think is cool, not how effective it is.

ps. My ws does just as much dmg as elvaan drk of similar gear~ (or I like to believe that... -_-)

taru or not taru, all drks do their work the same. Magic wise, we have more freedom than other race since our MP pool is big (but don't count on magic burst after beginning level.. i rather swing once more). Weapon wise it's same as other drks - until 49-gwd is better, until 66-scy is better, until 75 you will use both.

ok thanks guys really helped me see what weapons i should be using, and i really started taru drk for the looks lol i saw one and fell in love with it but anyways, as far as equip goes i heard tarus have 2nd highest dex should i focus more on Str,atk etc.. or accuracy/dex?

for any drk, acc 1st. Get acc gear, then rest of slots to str or att.

the Ring slots and the earrings and wait spot are my problem,
so for rings is houls have DEX+ then move to sniper, and earris i wshould have +attk and as for the belt should i have life belt or sword belt?

Actually. I've always weighted my gear like this: STR > Acc > Atk > Dex.

As of now I have +30 STR, +41 Acc, +105 Atk, +8 Dex. After +30 Acc, you start getting diminishing returns on it. If I have trouble hitting, I swap in my Optical Hat over my Adaman Celata or Wyvern Helm. But I rarely ever miss with base of +41. And Atk items are so common, that having a +number that high isn't that amazing (Adaman set, Dusk set, Balmung, bomb core, etc. all have +atk). My dex is kinda low, but. Oh well. There's always a victim.

Haha, just a joke. I'm a retard and cast Thunder II whenever the opprotunity arises. Like fighting certain NM that spams AOE attacks such as Faust. I'll stand out of aggro range and cast Stun and Thunder II alternatively.

lol sounds fun so drk have a lvl 70 armour besides AF2, adaman's? ive never seen this before and isnt adamans pld/war only or am i mistaken and it one of thoes armours were it looks the same they just change one letter of the name

There's the cursed gear for DRK that's pretty amazing. It's an upgrade of the hauberk/thick series. It's the blue armor in my sig. Most of it is pretty hard to get and is rare/ex and costs anywhere from 500k-3million a piece.

i killed suzaku 3 days ago with some ppl... two earthen celeta abj drops. Me and a war was there, we happily lotted on each ones.

Not everyone passed, and about 5 seconds before the loot was distributed, i got kicked out of my pt, and abj went to a random person.

ouch that sucks that you lost your abj landasia. but oh well, i prefer the optical hat, it saves me like 1 mill from buying cursed celata =P

acc gear is very important, and up until say lvl 70, i would put it on top priority for gear and atk and str for other slots (like landasia said)

but at lvl 75, +acc isnt the biggest concern for me anymore, its good to still have +40 or so acc (i used to have +61 with snipers etc at one point), but there comes a point where you just dont need that much acc and more atk and str would be a lot more useful (diminishing returns~). i would say its safe to say that Sniper rings are no longer neccessary 70+ (depending on what the rest of your gear is though), and that my priorities right now are kind of like rein's in terms of equipment choice. plus im usually with a BRD, so acc is never really a problem (and even w/o one) imo.
