Honestly i am a soft for ppl like that.

That 5 dollars isn't much i understand you feel guilty cuz its christmas and all.

I do feel the same.....
But on the other hand there are places like Salvation Army, United Way, a place to help homeless people get back on their feet.

They can go to the government for help etc etc etc.
I met ppl on the street and seen it all.
They can also start off with the government housing, to a low-paying jobs and work their way up.
Everyone starts somewhere.. If you dont know just ask.
It doesn't hurt..

Man, Milamber is one of the most kind hearted people I know. She even told me she gets really upset when someone dies in her party. A whm through and through. I'm from primarily a rural area so seeing that kind of stuff is more of a shock to me. But there was a homeless guy in Manhattan where I went to college (K-State) that we often gave food and money too. I agree that sometimes these people just need to know that someone cares whether they live or die. Thats my two cents anyway.

There is a problem with our government just giving everyone handouts and OMFG, it's going nowhere. I drive by these city projects each day and all these people are on government handouts.

I remember when i was about 12, me and my mom were driving around and we saw this homeless person in dallas (good ol harry hines), so my mom drove back home, packed a good lunch (pretty big turkey sandwitch, some chips, kool-aid, and some fruit) and we drove it back to him... but tis sad that some ppl just do it for a living =/
