LFP for hours, sometimes days. I'd even leave my character online overnight with my LFP and search comment up...nothing

So then, I started making my own PTs, and slapping myself for not doing it sooner.

This is something thats still plauges me from day one.

Being crushing, depressing, overwhelmingly poor. Never owned more than 300k to my name, and I had to mine Gusgen for nearly two months to pay off my (Erase) scroll loan (<3 Sparky), and I had to do it again to get my Dark, Light staves, and Holy Shield. I've only racked up... 75 days now? So, amazingly, I've probably played less than anyone else (still too much imo), but I'm still insanely poor. Don't have the time to raise THF, so I can't farm effectively, can't farm much otherwise, mining sucks, port buisness is about the best I can do (but its still slow as hell some days), I've burned over 100k on crafting to 55 which hasn't made me much money, I've never recieved any sort of "grand" inheritance from any departed friends (all my old friends were obscure and poor, most people now a days don't even know them) Seriously, this game needs welfare for people like me.

Oh, and now that I think about something depressing...

Has anyone seen Sirfalas...? Seriously... its been three days, hes missing, I'm starting to get worried about him... For someone who has over 200 days of playtime its unusual that he'd by gone on our big move to CoP chapter five run...

I got depressed with the way FFXI handled gil

and requesting help when like 20 LS members were just staring at the ah in Jeuno not doing anything but not wanting to help a brotha out....and it still happens

That you need high level help, often mercenaries, to get anything done in this game, especially coffer keys. Grouping with people the same level as yourself who need the same thing tends to take hours or days, such as coffer key party in Eldieme, made many runs with many groups where I always lose the lot every so many hours a key drops and then most of the people who get their key suddenly have to go. I have probably already lost a good 500k or so to high level help.

When they F??king killed my love for Samurai. Took my tp. i use to be able to do 4-5 or 5-6 pentas in a row avg and didn't doo to much dmg but was easyly able to solo LB1 mobs and helped noobs out all the time.. then one day they nerfed me and noobs asked me to help again and i said i couldn't anymore. That was depressing. Or when i couldn't kill a deamon that was worthless conned to me (even thou i have Deamn killer job trait).
Or how little Sams are invite to pts or the Fact that in a "perfect party set up" Sam isn't in it. But again... you don;t know about Sam till you play it.
Or that Fat you need the "best " gear to be Even be able to do "ok" dmg.... is that why i see so many fish botting Sams? prolly.

The thing that first depressed me in FFXI was when my 4 closest friends who I'd spent so much time with and had such a great perma pt quit the game. Such a sad time

My point is the same as Whisps.

Thunderstomp leaving was bad. Although Scyth just all out quitting with out any warning was even worse. When the Perma group fell apart I thought about quiting.

I really liked Samurai job, and I still wish to get it to 75, but Square killed a most of my interest in them with their nerf. I'm not saying they are weak or anything, but just like dragoon, the role they are suposed to play past 60 is too limited.

But I think nerf make me more angry than sad. What is the most depressing is when a friend quit, or even worse, when you learn a friend quitted but couldnt even tell him goodbye.

75 Samurai at last, hurray!

When I quit my perma party lol.

I hated the fact that I had to quit, but at the time I had no job, very little money, and bills to pay at the end of the month. That was what caused the "grind" to get to me...a little voice in the back of my head kept saying "you better get off your ass and get a job!" Anyways, sorry I caused the first major dissapointment of the game for my closest FF friends.

Yeah Jen, MDC breaking up was sad.....almost as sad as when you kicked me on an impulse :x
