Hello, I have been reading your boards for a while and this is my first post. I like reading these forums because I see alot of interesting posts and screenshots, and some of you are funny as hell. Just from reading these forums I like CKD and hope to be in an LS like this when I reach lvl 75 (loooong time from now).

Ok. I am in a LS called "Kentucky Fried Chocobo" (a very good non-HNM LS) I have gotten alot of crap in /tell from random people in the game after examining me. I would like to clarify we are not that evil HNM LS that MPK's people, and seems to be very hated. Our highest level person is 68 and none of us has touched an HNM. Out of curiosity, what does the KFC acronym (sp?) for that hated LS stand for? Thanks

KingFriedChicken (or maybe Chocobo, cant remember) is not the first name for that LS.

They had to keep changing the name of their LS because of the bad rep they got from not just us, but JP communities as well. I'm not sure who's LS came first, but when I hear there are two LS's with the name "KFC" and a pink pearl, and knowing how they keep changing the name, i get suspicious.

It's run by a guy called "Ganamena".

It would take a long long time to list all the reasons they are hated, but it mostly all boils down to the fact they are a HNM LS with no courtesy for the rest of the Ifrit population, and will do anything it takes to make sure they, and only they, get claim on any HNM they want.

It can be 5AM in the morning in Japan, but if Fafnir is going to pop, you can be sure their entire LS will be awake, and online, waiting to kill it, EVERY DAY. Same goes for [King] Behemoth, Nidhogg, Adamantoise, and Aspidochelone.

It baffles us, really. We don't understand how the same group of people can kill the same 3-4 HNMs every single day for months on end. They have reached the point where they kill a HNM 3-4 days in a row, most likely throwing away 80-90% of the items that drop because they are "too common" and nobody in their LS needs them. Items that everyone else on the server needs to camp these HNMs against them for weeks on end for a single chance at killing the HNM to drop it.

Go read up on other server forums about NA LS who get to kill Behemoth/Fafnir/Adamantoise once-twice a week, and here on Ifrit we get to kill it once-twice a year, because on the other 300+ days, this LS kills most of them.

It's not just an NA thing. I remember some time ago some japanese LS (I think IcarusWings) managed to get claim on the King Behemoth KFC were fighting and called for help on it, lol. It's obvious were not the only people who hate them. Only recently have other NA LS like Hokuten and Sentinels had to try to put up with them like we have to, sooner or later they'll come to really hate them too.

I try to look on the bright side of things. I think at how when they kill King Behemoth and are "oh joy, we got ANOTHER defending ring", that when we finally kill it, we can be "OMFG WE GOT A DEFENDING RING". The fct we don't get to kill them often makes it feel so much better when we finally do. Just look at when we got Aspidochelone a few weeks ago, lol.

If what Ketrebu said is true, then I would have to say those KFC guys (or whatever dumbass LS name they have now) are no different than those dirty gil seller Amemit whores in Kuftal Tunnel (Danor, Yisa, etc.). The only time I ever get checked by high level players is if they are 1) NA player or 2) dirty gil seller. I've been checked by Danor, Yisa, Ganamena, etc...

If people want proof, just do a /sea on Dragon's Aery (DragonAery) now.

It's currently almost 11PM in Japan on New Years Eve, and KFC are sitting in the Aery waiting for Fafnir to pop.

kfc also bots for claims too correct? If they do it just makes them seem so much more desperate to get these HNMs for absolutely no reason whatsoever

if they wanted to challenge themselves (since obviously the HNMs aren't a challenge) they could get together and go do some of the new dragons that are near impossible

I still can't believe that SE doesn't do anything about this... i know this is one of the few servers where this is a problem, because i've read about other servers NA hnm ls's, but SE could at least ATTEMPT to try and do something about kfc...

I was in this LS before I left--Yeah at first Yarr and others were talking about how evil KFC was and I was really surprised, but then I found out they were talking about a JP LS...I never got any crap but if someone else is now I'm glad they made a post here

lol tekno's icon is funny. Victoria secret= uber. Anyways, yeah KFC is rather annoying. My LS doesn't even really try for the bigger HNMs like Fafnir or KB much at all because ofcourse most of KFC and some ickywings use bots~

I agree fully with Ket, why do they continually camp and camp without fail for the same HNMs over and over?... How is that fun? Surely they have everything they need... They can probably buy anything they want...so why continue camping? :/ Lets ask them, lol.

Actually, they didn't fight Tiamat to 1%, some other ls did and KFC waited there waiting to make the steal. Yes they bot, they've admitted it, so tell us another one tekno. I have to agree, way to make yourself look like an ass.

supposedly KFC only uses packet sniffers to tell when the mob is about to pop but doesn't use a bot to claim it. Dunno if this is true or not, if it's true, they must have uber super awesome ping, 2 seconds better than all of the NAs put together... and if that is true, SE REALLY needs to do something

If two groups try to claim the same mob over a period of time each group should be able to claim the mob 50% of the time if they have the same opportunity. There is no secret to claiming mobs...it's a simple task...press button, run macro, etc.

I really don't think they bot, but they clearly have some sort of advantage. When a LS/group exploits this advantage they ruin the entertainment for others playing ffxi...

NM whoring is a dirty act...and they are not welcome within ffxi community...

Yeah pretty much.... it's always people that have never tried camping against these guys, that say all the "its not botting, its skill, NA players just suck."

I remember back when this first became an issue on Ifrit servers, on forums you would see all the 75's complaning and all the 50's saying "Its not ping, its skill."

Even ganamena was friends with some CKDers, until CKD started to do HNMs and we saw what they were really like....

All I have to say, is everyone except tekno is right on this issue, and its just a technical problem with the game. Which is a lot of the reason for why i quit.

We were Camping Turtle once and b/c all the mobs there Aggro 75s you have to sit on the side most the time and go in and out to camp. Once
Rebur used her 2hr! Chainspell Ran out casted dia and got turtle and when she used her 2hr it didn't even pop yet. Now why would a "non botter" use their 2hr (that lasts maybe 1-2 mins) Risking just totaly wasteing their 2hr for the fight?... not if u Say "skil" or "luck" thats the dumbest thing i have ever heard and your just trying to Start S??t up..

The Sentinels/FinalHeaven have done their run on attempting to get the 3 kings. I myself was the time tracker and personally took everyday keeping the timers and staying for at least 2 of the 3 every single day to ensure I kept the timer. The one time we did get Fafnir it was due to a set of certain circumstances. After trying to get them for a few weeks, I, personally, grew to strongly dislike KFC and IW. Because control of the 3 kings bounces between these 2 HNMLS with more control being on the KFC side some. That's why you see most NA or non JP HNMLS who want abj doing sky now and not trying to get the 3 kings. I think SE should really do something about it. But will they? I dunno about that one. But anywho, not being able to do the end game stuff I wanted to do has really made me bored as of late. That's why i'm not on as much these days. It's not only for the abj that I wanted to fight them but for the fun and excitement too. Maybe one day things will change, I hope so.
