I increased the minimum level from 72 to 73 (but if you already signed, it's okay). Also, I will have to keep some room for DD and healer because we already have plenty of buffer and tank.


To activate the quest Divine might quest, just go in sky and walk north all the time till you zone in the Shrine. Once you're in, examine the big statue in front of you to get the cutscene

Confirming sign up. I have a pentasphere also.

From what I've experienced and heard, here is a little bit of what to expect for those trying this for the first time.

* Time - Plan to have 4 hours available, going over strategy will take time and setting up parties is key, so we don't want to rush or lose people in the end
* Death - You will die. You will probably die more than once. In order to win the BCNM you may have to eat a R1 for the good of the team. Anyone who is /WHM should pre-cast Re-raise I and be prepared to use it if they go down.

Items - Recommendations considering a "classic" strategy of picking the AA's off one at a time
* All mana users except BRDs and RDMs NEED to bring juice. Due to splitting up the parties in the beginning you will not necessarily be anywhere near the person in your party that can refresh you.
* All mellee should bring 2 icarus wings + Opo-Opo Necklace and sleep potions for TP.
* Anyone who needs mana should bring ethers or vile elixirs.
* NINs should bring blind potions and bat earrings to max evasion since they will be keeping targets occupied until the alliance starts beating on them.
* Everyone needs to bring poison potions or venom potions.
* Anyone who is affected by silence needs to bring echo drops.
* If you want to minimize the chance of eating R1, you might want to bring a Hi Re-Raiser

We will win the first time Since Icarius wings have a 2 hour cooldown, 1 will be okay.

As for tank, I was planning to have Thief on mambo to tank the mithra, Galka and possibly Elvaan.

The 2nd one is for after you die, silly. Unless the cooldown isn't reseted after death. If that's the case, then ignore the first comment, except for the silly part.

As for thief tank, it might not be a good idea. If they happen to get cured they will lose hate to the whm unless they spam potion. Maybe gravity kite would be better

If we've got to use a THF tank due to lack of other tank types, I would say have the THF take GK to the back and kite him with a RDM. As I recall (notes at home and I'm not :/) GK doesn't have AOE, so as long as the THF can stay out of range and evade they MIGHT be able to keep hate long enough for the rest of the alliance to kill TT, assuming the order is TT > GK > MR > Pets > HM > EV.

IF TT doesn't go down quickly though, the THF will lose hate. When I tried this, we took GK to the far back (by the platform) and did NIN + RDM with the NIN head to head on GK. Due to no fault of the NIN, I got hate a few times, just because GK hits hard and accurately. I think WAR/NIN *coughKayliacough* would be superior in kiting these than a THF just for aggro since if the AA runs wild it can kill most jobs in 1-2 hits and will wipe out the alliance really quickly, unless another tank type can pick it up.

We also took MR to the hallway, which seemed to work nicely because it kept most people out the AOE.

i can get intial hate prolly if you want me to tank it, get a rdm to draw minmal hate w/ dia or poison and me having full tp -> opo + sleep potion sade.. shuld gimem nice hate w/ my enmity gear heh (eh.. dun ask why i got enmity gear..) and then i can try takeing it head on np.. or kite w/e you want me to do but i wont get shit worth of hate kitting lol

When CKD did that fight they had a NIN go 1 on 1 with the mithra. And had a THF 2 hour and keep the galka busy till after the Tarutaru was dead.

No, I wanted to use thief because they have like uber mad evasion ^^ However, because they don't have provoke, I'm scared they lose hate to other people around (brd song, rdm gravity and the like). -If- it can be done, I think it would be the best.


How can you forget Galka's jump AoE He jump really high in the air and do a front flip and fall back doing a big AoE. This AoE is absorbed by utsu but gives bind status when not resisted... I think.


As for the order we kill them, I wanted to do something like you said.
Taru has to be first because he is a real pain, Galka come after because he is "easy" and jump/meikio could be annoying if we dont take care of him early. Mithra in 3rd because hume and elvaan are the hardest.

TT --> GK --> wyvern --> MR --> pet --> HM --> EV


I would like to use BC entrance to tank/kite at least 2. Chanalix said it already, but Galka will probably be pulled in entrance, mitra above the stair, and the other 3 in the main area
