Well being a player that has just entered dynamis range, I was left with alot of questions about the whole thing. And if there is one thing that bothers me when I play, it's not knowing about something. I always try to learn about all i can to be a better player and asset to any party or event. I knew that it excited me that i could finally go (pending acceptance into a raid of course), but realized i knew very little at all about it. I had so many questions and reading the forums for ifrit said alot about drops and stuff but not much about actual dynamis. And the official sites i found to be lacking as well. So i went hunting tonight when i logged off of game cuz i was bored. And i found what i think of as a jack-pot for all others out there that don't know much about it. It gives very detailed stratagies that this preticular HNM uses, and although I can not speak for how CKD holds thier events they host and do not mean any disrespect by giving a link to another sites way of hosting dynamis, it still does give amazing insight into the way dynamis goes down. And just my opinion that whoever "kitty" is that runs it, really has it together and doing a kick ass job as organizer, and also look forward to seeing how other HNM LS' handle it. So all that being said, if you are one of the many out there that comes to these forums but don't know much about Dynamis, or even if you are currious to how others have aproached Dynamis you should definatly check out http://dca.eleventeenth.com/
Hope this might answer any question you might have had, cuz i walked away from it with very few questions. See ya around

I know how to bake a cake. Mother gave me the recipe

I went out and bought all the stuff to go in it. I was really excited.

No one wants to eat the cake, they all said it didnt taste right.

But I had the recipe.

Someone get the lemons.

hey i'm not saying it's the is all to know all about dynamis, but for those of us who havn't gone on it, it gives more insight into it. And i know reading it doesn't make you a master, but knowing atleast something other than hearing "cheeseburgers" and dynamis rules, and more about actual dynamis is nice. Don't forget, you didn't know everything you know now when you got to dynamis for the first time, and i'd hope you still learn more every time you go. And if anything, since i see nothing in way of the forums to give any real insight into dynamis, any tactics, or lowdowns, i'd think that would be a welcome addition to atleast cut back on so many questions to higher lvl people. At the VERY LEAST, it lets you in on what to expect and where things are layed out and the actual way the mobs spawn. So why not take it for what it is, just friendly insight for those who don't know, or give more info about dynamis yourself since you obviously now not only have that cake recipe, but can bake it up like Emeral. Until then why not try to remember what it was like when even you was a nobody and still learning the world. no offense

Ultimately, a Dynamis Raid is in control by only 1 or 2 people, the pulling team.

They determine what to pull, when to pull it. It's given that any capable force will be able to kill the mobs that come their way. But if the pullers pull the wrong mobs, at the wrong time, or link NMs and other nasties unintentionally (not according to plan) things will go terribly wrong.

Maps, NM locations, suggested routes and the like are nice, but there is no better strategy than your own, that way you're guaranteed to fully understand it.

Personally, if you haven't been on a raid yet, the best way to overcome the problem of not knowing what goes on is to attend one, pay attention, and try to make your own understanding of how things work. If your not a puller, and you are, for example, just a simple melee who kills mobs, then you can easily do your job without knowing how pulling works, as long as you know a few simple rules, such as "/autotarget off" and "/assist".

Nobody can be expected to go in and know everything, you just have to pick it up.

actually i'd like to post a correction. Cuz now digging deeper into your start of dynamis forum, Pix had a link to the same site. So my fault for not seeing it before i posted, sorry for that. But funny how it was alittle more openly viewed as insightful when posted by Pix, yet the newbie to the thought of Dynamis that finds it now it is a second rate pastry chef. Makes ya stop and wonder sometimes what exactly I'll be like when you hit 75 for myself. Man i hope my keep my angel food cake from falling while giving others such grand words of wisdom. =o)

don't worry i keep them by the "cheeseburgers", next to yarr's mom's recipe. I'm good to go. And i wouldn't worry about burning it, being such a noob still i think i'm only allowed to use an easy bake oven.

Player-hosted event:
When a single person pays for an event, they make claim to all Dynamis money that drops. Non-ex items, non-dynamis-money, relic weapons, and AF2 are lotted with the usual rules. Even the money stolen by thieves should be handed to the host at the end of the event.

... whoa

I think a few people have run raids like that here also. It's like, the only way to really work on getting your relic upgraded effectively.
