I'm going back to fishing.

Yarr, i'm getting a 2 week vacation soon, and i was wondring if you or any other canadian could tell me a bit about Canada.
I have little to no knowledge about the place and i might be going there for my Vacation.
Could anyone tell me about it, like what to expect and what not to.
I know its off topic, but i was just looking for some decent information.

This sounds really cool. Might finally be the end of fish botting.
If you look at this screen:

you see that fish will get some kind of life meter. So I am guessing that the lower it gets, the higher your chance of reeling in, and the higher level the fisher, the faster the meter goes down.
Although I could see this as a problem for people who still need to catch thousands of moat carp, this will be really awesome for a Qufim fisher like myself who only gets like 1 bite every 5 minutes, it's really frustrating if you lose it then.

So let me get this straight.

What will happen when you catch a fish, is your rod will move? If it swings to the left, you need to pull right? If it swings right you gotta pull left? And you keep doing that for a few seconds, and the better you do, the more chance you have of catching the fish?

That's not too bad an idea, it basically means you need to pay attention when you fish since I'm guessing the rod movements would be random. And if you don't try to fight the fish at all (or just seem to do it randomly) then your chances of catching a fish are slim to none?

As for increased skill up rate, its about time, lol.




Oh btw, did you guys see the Valentione's Day (Yes, I know it's spelt wrong, that's what it says all over the website) thing? Sounds like everyone is going to get one free Guild crystal, lol. Kinda crappy for an "event", lol.

Those are the sort of changes that might actually get me to take up fishing... Hmmm... Guess we'll just have to see.

Canada is cool i'm goin there over my feb break also lol. I went there for past three years. Not as much French as you may think. Stop signs are french. lol and get a beaver tail... As a fisher. i find this change detrimental to my enjoyment. I mean, fishing for me has always been about relaxation. You know, after a hard days exp or helping people with stuff, i'd normally go to SSG to fish. Sure SSG is more dangerous and you'd never in your life see a botter there, but its also relaxing.
With the new system, i'm sure people would be excited about fishing due to the excitement the system creates, but for me and for many others, when i fish, i just wanna relax and enjoy the ride.

With every update, fishing is always changed (more then often nerfed), which gets tiring. Like alot of people have said on different forums, the one thing that can basically eliminate over 90% of all bots is by removing all the High lvl fish from towns and safe fishing spots (eg. Bastore Bream, Black Sole), or by adding higher lvl fished up mobs in some areas. That way, no matter how advanced the bot is, the botters get very little return, or risk certain death.

Just like before i'm quite sure that once this change takes effect, people would just release newer and improved bots to combat this new system.

and you'll use em and get thrown in jail again....
