why is my avatar scary??? :(

btw, inuyasha would be pronounced

ee nu ya sha

(i) prounounced like ee in eel, (u) pronounced similarly to the u in duke

and (a) vowels are like sharp ah

japanese vowels are always pronounced the same, nothing "modifies" them

a - ah
i - ee (like eel)
u - oo
e - eh
o - oh (sharp o)

words like ai (love) arent modified, its the sound of 'ah' followed by 'ee' : ai

also the thing to remember, in japanese, the alphabet is phoenetic. so each hirigana represents a consanant.

i nu ya sha
い　ぬ　や　しゃ

inu means dog in japan, not sure about yasha

(taking japanese courses in college atm)

yeah inu means dog, but yokai is demon, so im not sure about that demon part. hmm tried looking online but i saw somewhere that yasha = female demon, dunno though ( i could ask my japanese sensei, or my friend here who's been living in japan for 7 years ).
