- Mercurial Sword: lvl 62 war/pld dmg 26
(occasionnaly hits 2-3 times)

I'm not gonna pretend I know much about great swords, but the 2-3 attack thing caught my eye. This is a Great Sword, and it is a prize for gutting a Ryuga Titan, a level 100+ legendary fish that you catch on the ferry.

It used to be RareEx, but it is no longer, so expect to see these on the AH soon, if not already.

So it's either time for all you WAR and PLD to start fishing, or it's time to start being nice to those who have.

Ryuga Titan is THE hardest/most rare fish in this game. I imagine that these (the GSWDs) will be insanely overpriced. lolol I honestly have never heard of anyone actually getting a reward from Zaldon for a Ryuga Titan though. Where is this info from?

It's from allakhazam, so take it as you will. I will try my damnedest to confirm this myself. In correction to your statement, though, Ryuga Titans used to be the hardest/most rare fish in the game.

I caught two of them on a single boat ride from Selbina to Mhaura the night of the update, and my fishing skill is only 86.

Again, I haven't verified this, so I have no clue if it's true, but I currently have two Ryuga Titans in my inventory, and if I force myself to do some fishing tonight, I'll see if I can confirm this.

Yah, this update took pretty much the entire foundation of fishing and just shook it about.

All I know is after the patch I decided to try out the new fishing system and on my first cast in Bubu I lost my Rogue Rig.

This sword is on the AH list now, two sales, both to themselves, one for 2 mil, the other for about 500k.

None actually up for sale though, i guess the people either kept for themselves, or they gave it to their WAR/PLD great sword wielding friend. *wink* *wink* :P

Well, it's not gonna be a common occurance.

They did make it easier to catch the fish, but getting the sword from gutting it is still a random thing.

Seriously though, I hate using a GS. Though I'd probably want this shit if it were for DRK too. ;/

fishing still sucks. i gave it 30 attempts and didnt catch a single fish. (1 silver ring is all).

Fishing is way better now, I'm making a lot more gil than ever before the patch. One thing I don't like is how they made Ryugu such a wuss, seeing how people are landing Ryugu Titans left and right now, that sword won't be worth much anymore soon.

GS = ~10tp per swing x2 or x3 . If activation rate is like rydill or joyeuse, you would 100 tp in no time and could spam your WS. I doubt ws would be really strong...dunno
