Its really hard to pick one favorite movie off all time. So Im asking what your "Current" favoite is.

Right now I would easily say that my favorite (and has been since I saw it) would be "Vanilla Sky".

Why?

Well, the movie has about 100 million meanings behind it. Its about defying yourself, its about accepting reality, but most importantly its about the contrast of feelings and how one can not truly know what something is with out experiancing the other end of the spectrum.

Ive seen the movies easily about 10+ times. Princess and I saw it in theaters about 4 times. We even paid to watch it at a hotel (we were on vacation) when it was in the limbo Not-in-theater-not-on-dvd stage.

The movie has so much hidden meaning and tons of subtle symbolism. I know im a giant fag for admitting that but I like a movie that really provokes thought.

anyway, add some damn replies to this thread.

it's your favorite movie and you haven't seen abre los ojos yet?! - -; it's ok, VS is one of my fav films and I have yet to see ALO either. if you really dig on VSi would suggest checking out: the princess and the warrior, amores perros, 21 grams, dangerous lives of alter boys, and eternal sunshine.. they all have that deeply intense, sad, spiritually moving, and interesting cinematography like VS.

as for my fav movie... i hate to admit it, but Chasing Amy, has been and probably will be one of my fav movies ever, sure there are a ton of better movies for a ton of reasons, butsomething about that particular love story always gets me.. what can i say i'm a hopeless romantic

I keep meaning to watch abre los ojos but princes and I never got around to it. I realize its the original Spanish version and from what I hear its alot more gritty.

Ill see it soon enough ;p

Im gonna check out some of those movies you listed off for sure though.

Laugh if you will, but I think Kill Bill Vol. 1 was brilliant...

The anime sequence, while a little lengthy, was fascinating, and I don't even like anime in general.

I enjoyed the fight scenes, especially when she battles the 100 Crazy Fists or w/e that gang called themselves.

The 2nd Matrix movie is a close second place.

Crazy 88's. I love that they just called themselves that cause it sounded cool. Vol. 1 I think was a lot better then Vol. 2.

Office space, Dogma for older movies.

Last good movies I saw were Constantine and Saw.

------------------------------------------------------------

Office Space: Hilarious, and at the same time its so true. Mostly everyone hates their job.

Dogma: Another funny movie, it's also a movie you will want to see many times.

Constantine: Kind of like dogma with the whole religious thing, has some funny scenes but mostly action and a movie about demonology.

Saw: Fucking awesome movie, it leaves you thinking till the very end, and the ending will totally shock you.

Constantine was awesome. I wish they had gone more into the occult stuff though. Like the dragons breath and the screaching box.

Wanna read about it? I took a 2month Basic religionism course back at my technical school. I have a few sites that have that sort of information in a non-SATANISM AHH! FUCK BABY JESUS way.
Simple, explanatory & interesting.

Pulp Fiction. Who doesn't like that movie? Just saw it again for the first time in a while, and I got it on tape. I love Quentin Terantino, and I love the uniqueness of how Pulp Fiction is told, all out of order and such.

And Saw was awesome. The guy that turns out to be Jigsaw is probably one of the biggest surprises I've seen in a movie, IMO.

I don't really have a favorite movie, because I like all sorts. But at the moment I'm loving The Notebook.. such a sweet movie.. I wish I had a bf like Noah! I also like it because it's so heart warming.. and it's like the only love story I've seen in a movie that was really really good.. sometimes they are just too corny, mushy, or fake.

Star Wars (episode IV) if you couldn't tell. It was made before George Lucas turned into a senile old fool. The LOTR ROTK is a close second though.

Btw I hear Cheech and Chong are making a new movie titled:... The Lord of the Smoke!
