oh, and why...

Boondock saints is just fucking awesome, the film style is cool.

Mallrats is hilarious... the first Kevin Smith movie I saw and still probably my favorite.

Donnie Darko just because of how odd it is and how the end and events in the movie are so open to interpretation... all 3 are just awesome movies

Yeah I forgot about the bourne series, both great movies..

And speaking of boondock saints..

" Serial killer Richard Paul White, one of Colorado's most notorious killers, recently spoke from jail about his crimes, reports Blabbermouth.net. He has confessed to six murders in the Denver area. A lifetime of untreated mental illness, heavy metal music and violent movies drove him to kill, he said, in an exclusive interview with CBS4 Denver News reporter Rick Sallinger.

Music was a big influence in his life, White said. His spree of killing was accompanied by a soundtrack of heavy metal. "Metallica probably the most," he said. A set of lyrics stand out: "Guilty as charged, but damn it, it ain't right, there's someone else controlling me." (from Metallica's "Ride The Lightning")

Music by Linkin Park would also play in the background. "I would listen, actually, to Linkin Park before I would kill," White said. "And, while I was killing usually that music Linkin Park was on."

A childhood of abuse, coupled with untreated mental illness, set the stage. A society filled with violence did little to hold back White. "Today's culture, here in America, everything is based on violence," he said.

White talked about movies he would watch that influenced him to kill. There was one in particular, "The Boondock Saints", about two Irish youth who set about to rid Boston of gangsters. "There's just a lot of killing," White said. "And it makes it seem right and makes it almost OK to go out and kill."

Add to the mix violent video games, such as Doom, that White played. "I think they influenced me towards killing," he said. "It desensitized me to the killing, because when I pulled the trigger on the TV screen, something would just go away." "

And I'm totally serious about this. Has anyone else seen this one?
It has the genie and Scrooge McDuck..Let's see it starts in the Egyptian desert and Launchpad crashes the plane.

People who have seen the whole movie know how great it is.

Wow, I'm amazed such movies like Fight Club and Boondock Saints didn't even cross my mind when I was trying to figure out my fave movie of all time...

Those two movies are far better than my original post of Kill Bill Vol. 1 :p

I thought about this a little last night and I came to the conclusion that my favorite 'current' movie would have to be Punch Drunk Love. Mainly because Adam Sandler's character reminds me of myself; all the shit I went through growingup and how it affected me as an adult...

Same I was just talking about that last night haha. I can relate to everything in that movie from "Why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam" (that s**t happens at work all the time)...to the monotone boss that asks me to come in on Saturday when I'm getting ready to go home Friday...to having 6 different people call, visit, or email me if I make a mistake. Haha it's Friday and I'm wearing a Hawaiian shirt and jeans atm...

My favorite more current movie is still the Kill Bill series. I can't pick a favorite from the 2 =X. I think they are best watched back to back like one long movie.
