In general, I talk to the overweight guys more often, b/c the fit, attractive guys seem to have as much personality as a plank of wood(not all, but it seems most I run into do)
I have a friend, and whenever we go out together, guys will completely ignore me to talk to her(and I mean they go to the point of pretending I don't exist.) She thinks I look better than her and doesn't realize thats not very true.(I'm as plain as a doorknob) I've been insulted randomly in public before many times, by both men and women.
Example
My son really really really really wants to go to McDonalds for lunch. So I give in, we go inside so he can play on the play ground. I order a salad since grease and I don't get along, go sit down, begin eating. Three women walk by, all thin, wearing pants showing their buttcracks. Tall blonde looks at me, then at the other two.
"I don't know about you girls, but I think it was a wasted effort for her to order a salad."
They laugh. Me. "I don't know about you girls, but I hope your friend has a bigger I.Q. than her pants size so she can start thinking up better insults next time." They get mad, walk off.
But it bothers me alot more then I'd let them see. Why should I get put down in public like that? Before they walked up I had not said or done anything to them, I hadn't even noticed them come in. When I go to the gym I get the same response. You'd think since its a gym people might be more supportive. But no. The other day this woman was sitting on the butt firming machine talking to her friend using the next machine over. I waited for about 20 minutes, but she wasn't using it or moving. I'd finished everything else in my routine, I just needed to get on that one machine. (The only one of its kind at my gym, figures) I walk up, ask if I could please use it for 5 minutes, then she could have it back. She glares at me, then says "5 minutes wouldn't even make a dent in your fat ass." and refuses to move. I leave, a bit upset.
Society sucks. -.-
