Alot of how questions going around, so here is one more how did you become of the ifrit server and why did you chose to stay. I wanted bahamut server when i started but after deleting and remaking characters over and over i ended up on ifrit fenrir fairy and asura. I quit trying and said i'm going to try the game out here and see if i like it. Got my first linkshell within an hour of playing and so i stayed. Whats your stories?

uhh ffxi was my first online game, i didnt know anything. and plus i met alot of friends within my first day on hur and i dragged ike ova here and now we got an awsome ls grown when everyone is actually on

i was actually a dirfter for quite a while. For like 50 lvls starting from 1 i really didn't have any friends in game. I was bored like most of the time. I was in Linkshells but i don't even remember there names and worst yet i didn't know how to respond to them because i didn't know the /l command. Only person i do remember is hccmike who in the same linkshell it was called aspersomething , i bet he doesn't even remember the name of the ls. I always looked up to hcc for being so level headed and always being higher lvl than me ( no matter how much i exp'd i couldn't catch up). Then somewhere in between i got into hokuten, afterwards i went to crawlers nest to exp and i met up with the most rudest tallest bitch of a white mage. He shall remain nameless lol, suffice to say he complained because his perm party left him behind a lvl or 2 and now he had to exp with us. He complained throughout the whole party so much in fact after he left i said wow i hope i never have to deal with him again lol. Ironic isn't it haha. After wards after the embarassment of LImit break 2 (i'm sure some of you older players know what i did ) I had to rethink about everything i do in this game. Improve or die out and become known as the ryanracer of blms. Though not very good of a player i tried and tried. Then one day when i logged on in that beach with the raptors. I saw nippler near me, i just so happened to put up my pt flag up. He sent me a tell saying Nippler- you can fucking keep him.

I didn't know what he was talking about, but sometimes i'm pretty dumb so i said OK ^^; . The rest is basically history, i develped strong ties with the perm, to which i owe everything to. I became friends with quite alot of people.

Originally Deijek, Mongoose, Kenshen, Orca, and I were gonna be on leviathen but we kept getting ifrit so thats what we stuck with.

I got on Ifrit by random during the NA PS2 release. But a few days later my whole family was getting into the game and I asked a friend how to get a world pass for them. He happened to have one and let me use it for four family members! (Which was really good because I was like level 7 and had no idea how I would ever make 8000 gil, lol).

That was the beginning of probably my longest friendship in the game, so my thanks, yet again, to Epidemic...awesome Dragoon and up-and-coming Red Mage. /salute

I chose Ifrit because my friend Aalan had already made a character on Ifrit so I just spammed the servers til I got on Ifrit and my mule (Veuvaud) was my first character and made my second character (Eternus) on Ifrit also as my main.

Originally myself and all my roomates were going to play together and start a perma party as DRK RDM WHM RNG; when they started leveling their advanced jobs, I, like many people got impatientand started leveling without them, getting to level 50 while they were still in their mid 30s.

I was a lowly noob who didn't know anything about servers or anything like that. Or had any friends anywhere in rl who played this game (still don't have any friends that i knew before i played this game, that play this game with me. Must be sweet for you who know each other in real life.), and i still don't. But i stayed cause of all you nice people i've met here so far, lol. I love it here, probably wont leave anytime soon.

i choose ifrit because all my rl friends were here.
gman, renz and a couple people who quit convinced me to get the game, so i did and after a bajillion tries i finally landed on ifrit. i then was in a perma with them until 50, and...thats it =)

My cousin gave a worldpass to my brother and I. Till he could afford one since he was like lvl 7, I goofed around on Phoenix for a while. I remember putting /follow on random people lol.. I was classic noob.

Mikey, are you talking about AsperituSantu? If you are thats sweet. AsperituSantu formed with JoiningOfSix that made OnBrokenWings that came back to JoiningOfSix, so if you woulda stayed with it you woulda been in my LS!

Neways back to topic, joined JoiningOfSix around May 2003 and they picked Ifrit.

After cherie chose it i spent about 8 hours trying to randomly get the server lol. I was in JoS since about July 2003

well first the game threw me onto Fairy, and i was like, "bleh what a gay server name", so i did the trick to get a different one and got put on Unicorn...."bleh what a gay server name", tried one more time and Ifrit it was, lol.

Well I bought the game for my friend for his b-day and we got it same day but he was on before me so he got me a world pass so that’s how I got on ifrit haha no big story or anything. :D

I was originally on Caitsith, but I ended up remaking the character once I was about level 5, and I ended up on Ifrit instead, and that's where I stayed.

There are a few annoyances about this place, but I can't say I'm not glad to be here!

seiiguram is my RL friend and instead of getting me a world pass he made me recreate my character over and over again until i get to ifrit. thats why my name has a darn typo in it. then i got into AsperituSantu and loved it there.

I have played every Final Fantasy game...but was planning on passing this one. I didn't want to play this game b/c I knew it would own all my free time and I would blow off rl friends and stuff to play (I read articles about people becoming fat and lazy playing online games haha). I saw how evil this game was, because my stepbrother and some of his friends played FFXI, and they did NOTHING but play. I used to make fun of him alot lol. He convinced me to come watch them play b/c he wanted me to buy it. After watching it i was hooked (I am a final fantasy fan afterall). He got me a world pass and set me up on Ifrit. Now him and the other people I started with quit for WoW....WoW is gay btw.
