I never had as much fun getting bad xp as I do with blm trying to get chain solo. This is one of the few time xping felt more like a challenge than a pain.

This is nothing really awesome, but Blm who never tried it should Killing one VT/IT is relatively easy, but when you try to chain it (at lv 58, at least), it add a lot of fun. In many attempt, the best I could was #1 , but I came close enough from number 2 twice before I get killed

Im impressed with that, ive soloed a lot as a rdm and i cant remember ever getting a chain for it.

Sleep nuke is always fun, but IT get harder and harder past 60, rdm can sleep em fine but nukes are often resisted and the reverse for blm (dam c+ skills), this is where duos become fun . plus exp caps on vt mobs at 300 so there is no need to go higher heh

those numbers a quite impressing

Solo'ing for 200 is always a good thing, too bad every job cant do that

but is it more impressive than going to yuhtunga jungle w/ a party of 22's and makin chain 4s? did it last night, i was quit amazed on how professional the party was... kudos to jpns for once.

Getting a chain isn't too bad with blm because each nuke do a lot of damage and sleep always seem to land on T, VT and very low IT. I get the first one to 1-2%hp (3 ancient, 1 small spell) and sleep it. After that, I move on the 2nd one and try to keep the first one asleep. If something goes bad, I can just finish the first one and have like 4-5minutes to finish the chain
I died both time I tried to take a 3rd one the same way (could land one burst on it, but screwed up after), I guess it could be possible by finishing the first 2 quickly and use manafont on 3rd one. Dunno how I will do it but I will try.


Did you try at 70+ to solo many thing at the same time with "aga"? I can't wait to be 75 to try this. I need to level rdm for fast cast and phalanx, but I wonder how many weapon a blm could take at the same time.





I've seen on gamefaqs a warrior lv 60 chaining for 150,200xp solo. If war can do it, almost everyone can.
Ninja and Rng can solo T+, same for Blm,Rdm and Smn. All job who can use blood bolt/sleep bolt should be able to do relatively well on hard mob (war, thief, drk).
Brd also have the potential to solo T+ if they have insane amount of free time.
I'm not sure how well Drg/Whm do now, but they could kill T before the patch.

I don't see how Sam/Whm/pld could kill IT, but there might be a way too =/. Sam/nin with sleep arrow could do it maybe

wow thats a good idea, ive never gone out and looked to get a chain by keeping one near death while i killed the second, ill have to try it heh, its the only way im gonna top my beastmaster friends top solo exp of 320 lol.

Weapons might be tricky because of the stun aoe move, but i supose its no worse than the paralyse tp attacks heh. You blms might be lucky enough to be able to kill things before you give it 100 tp from nukes though.

I forgot about stun AoE =/ Bleh! I will find a way when I will hit 75. I was thinking about using the big fountain in sky as an obstacle to slow down mob, but if it doesnt work, I'm just gonna figure another way.

It's called when you sic a mob on a Bomb and it Self-Destructs you hit (Leave), gain full exp, charm another, rinse, repeat, attain Chain #5! and level in 30 min for BST.

That's a solo chain. <3 Vaelen

Maybe pld with joyeuse could give enough tp to a T bomb to explode. With nin sub, they might have a chance

Plus, I'd be fine if the bomb exploded. Let me share some past experiences :P


Ok so we're camping coffer key in Garlaige and we're fighting a Hellmine - goes to blow up, whole party (including me) has Barfira up, around 90 resistance. The bomb goes to blow up, and the message "The Hellmine is stunned" pops on the screen, and 2 seconds later "Vaelen takes 1782 points of damage" whereas the other members of my party (a DRK and 2~3 mages if I remember) all only took about 300, and the bomb was pretty close to dead.

A lot of times when we're camping Despot and Steam Cleaner too, the mobs won't resist stun, and I'll take 1500+ dmg even if the mob is like 9/10ths dead, lol... blow up mobs just don't like me at all =p

Lol. I kinda have similar resist usually But it's the only way I can find.

The zone after Ash Dragon would be the only place it could be done at 75 too Have fun leveling solo once you cap your nin sub

I wanna try and get NIN to 37 and just use Utsusemi: Ni as PLD/NIN with my earth staff on (using spirit taker) and see if I can solo any high level critters, lol

The point of pld/nin is to not take dmg, dual wield swords you can actually kill faster =p
