Just curious if you guys have been reading up on strategies of how to take this guy down. And if you plan to take him down eventually. Just wondering... :D

I soloed him this morning. :P

Anyway, yeah of course we read up on it, but CKD doesn't have the man-power for Vrtra just yet. You need an extra alliance or two just for adds. (Lots and lots of VT+ skelletons, and alliances on skeleetons means nasty AoE blooddrain =/)

If every active member of the Dojo was online I don't think we could fill 2 alliances, heh.

EDIT: Not a bad thing though, I like our relatively small LS.

Yea, I agree small LS makes everyone in the shell happy because less problems

But anyway, I always figure to take down Vrtra, we would work some of that NA coordination out. I always figured CKD and another top LS would {Team up?} and take this guy out. Like have 1 LS as Main alliance and have the other LS as pop alliance. Then when u go to fight Vrtra again, the LS that was pop alliance last time could be main alliance the second time around. Just some thoughts.

The only effective method I see working is 2 full alliance just for adds (one for the adds around the area , they are pretty weak, one for the 5 constant summons from vrtra , these are same level as vrtra and are pretty tough) and then you also need an alliance for Vrtra, and I guess you'd want like 4 PLD and 4 NIN to tank it (he eats tanks fast, ate 4 PLD/NIN in under 5 minutes)

Wow, well there is no way a single regular LS can defeat this guy. Maybe that new Private Dynamis LS Yarr is creating can make a Vrtra run one day

On a different server a LS is taking down the dragons. I don't see Vitra on there yet, but i'm sure they will nail him soon with thier track record.

Tiamat and Jorm arent overly hard for a normal ls to take, you can just zerg them with like 64 people. IW did this recently vs tiamat (had 60+ in the zone for first few hours, many left past half way to sleep), they had 4-6 tanks at any given time and tanks lasted about 2 minutes each, fight took 6-8 hours (forgot), and they were spamming raise 1, reraise gorgets, icarus wings, and vile/vile+1 they musta been hoarding for a while. Haha. SMN/BST method is pretty fun though, and you can actually take down the mobs within an hour or two, flying is the only annoying part. Vrtra though, heh thats really hard.

Well are Tiamat and Jorm on the CKD "To Do List"?

I understand you have to crawl before you walk. So it is most realistic to start off mastering Tiamat and Jorm before you take on the {Mega Boss} Vrtra. The gods are like that also, master the normal 4 before u take on Kirin. And same with the kings and HQ kings. I guess when u guys start going after Tiamat and Jorm, thats when I can ask about Vrtra

We've talked about testing them out and stuff. We did tiamat when he first spawned. That went welll...... lol

I've been trying to push Tiamat or Jorm, I'm sure we will soon enough, but I really dont see any single LS on this server killing Vrtra, it might be doable with something like Cheeseburgers, but even then i still dont see it hah.

Make sure you have signet at least when you fight vrtra that way you can get some crystals....cause you know he wont drop anything else for you

No NA ls exists yet that has the power to defeat Vrtra, nor any JP LS on our server that I know of. KFC tried Vrtra and was mauled in 10 minutes. I don't even think that an NA ls exists yet that can take down Jorm. Tiamat maybe. The smn ls has lasted a max of 15 minutes to vrtra I believe. What does this tell us? That vrtra is pretty much unbeatable for a single NA ls. (( I say this because the smn ls easily takes down jorm and tiamat)) Maybe one day this will change.

as far as teh adds, i think 1 exp pt could clear the room of regular pops (as in a real krt exp pt, mnk mnk mnk whm rdm brd) not sure if the skeletons he pops out are really level 90-100 or whatever

Put it this way ruby, with 2 full alliances + some, we were wiped in <15 minutes mainly to adds haha. The skeletons he pops are same level as vrtra, so level 90 or 95, and you need a full alliance for the other adds, cause its not like 2-3 at a time like exping, its all of them at once haha.

I been to Vrtras room before tons of skeletons not including the latent effect skeletons that pop when Vrtra is claimed. My idea is which probably might not work is making a THF do a suicide pull somewhere safer in the tomb by using flee if not it would take alot of man power maybe 5 alliances if you going to fight in that room X.x

Pull Vrtra^^ take him to the spook spawn

Cant pull him past the Large Stone Door, most effective strategy is to pull him to that door, and have a bunch of PLD/NIN to tank him right there (yes pld/nin , not pld or nin ) while the smn go to work on him. If done right, shouldnt aggro inside that room, just the outside.
