Ok.

Manga is a graphic novel from Japan. It contains pretty much the makings of an anime. An anime is a cartoon, which most are based off of manga's. Much like most movies here are based of novels and best sellers. However, much like here movies and anime sometimes deviate from the same course of a manga. In a movies sense its to save time. Even the LOTR movies were missing some parts from the book. Anime have the same basic plot as a manga but some key pieces may not be there. Take Hellsing for example. In the manga Alucard fights remants of the group of Nazi's that use undead as weapons much like the Hellsing foundation. In the anime they make little to no reference to the Nazi group and major fights are written right out. Only fight being against Incognito. Now for the most part this add's some spice I think because after reading the manga you have a general idea of what will happen in the anime. But sometimes you get taken by surprise, be it pissed off surprise or happy surprise, and get something that wasnt in the manga. Other times they cut stuff out you really wanted to see or didnt want to see.

Like Lani said.. it's pretty much depends on the animation studio... and what the script writer want to write... sometimes they take a lot of the story out.. if they're on a budget... Anime are usually done in seasons. Each season is 13 episod. The fewer seasons an anime runs, the more likely it's going to have stuff cut from the manga ^^; Longer anime, such as Naruto is pretty much an exact clone of the manga... heck, they pretty much just take each panel in the manga, and make that to be the key frames in the anime @_@!

So in general, there are manga (comic) and there are anime (tv) and they are essentially the two version of the same plot. (in genernal) And very rarely the studio will add "special filler" episod which is not in the manga... But no, it's is not likely for a TV anime studio to continue a story that has already ended. Usually they do that in an OVA which are shown in theater and usually 1-1.5hr long. ^^;

I don't know if any of you watched the new episode of Bleach ( 26), but the new opening scenes get me pretty excited.

I almost wish I had gotten itno this anime when it was on episode 60 or so like naruto. I hate waiting for new episodes.

Ghost in the Shell(series slightly more than the movie, which I felt was somewhat badly paced. The same way the Cowboy Bebop movie was.)


I read the Naruto Manga, and if I DO watch the anime, it's for the clearer art and music. Story/plot goes to manga always.

Yeah I saw 26 wednesday :D I got excited too ^^ and yeah....waiting for new episodes suck ;; well I got Bleach for the PSP today so I have something to do till they release Bleach 27 :D (its a 3d fighting game with PS2-like graphics...really really cool)

FLCL is my favorite!!

It's crazy and the animation is very sharp. Plus, the majority of the soundtrack was done by the Pillows.


I also really enjoyed R.O.D. and Shadowskill.
