Ya, like the second or third episode was amazing. It made the whole series worthwhile for me. But then it was kinda downhill from there. The style was made it interesting. I prefer anime that skips around. I read manga for thorough plot.

Yeah Champloo is a funny and great anime. The opening theme song is kinda lame but the anime itself is reallly really stylish.

Yes, I've seen princess mononoke... i liked that a lot ^^; but i really think Spirited Away really topped that ^^~

Another animed film that is by a differnt author is Metropolis (orginal authored by the artist who did Astrol boy ^^)

1.) Slayers! (I think this may be because this was the first thing I ever saw though and it made me laugh so hard I was crying [btw, the second season is the best, first season is mostly character dev, and third season is closing, kinda. BTW I <3 Phibrizo {or however the hell its spelled} coolest villain ever imo])

2.) Coyboy bebop - great story/animation and I love the end theme video

3.) EVA - litte pyscho at the end...but hey thats what we love

4.) Ruroni Kensihin - I actually like all three seasons of this series but they all have diferent names and this is the one that everyone recognizes (btw first season is hella bloody)

5.) tie between FMA and Vandread both are great series all around (though vandreads dubbing is scary beyond all reason, for the love of god watch it subbed!)

personal favorite of mine would definately have to be trigun. i also read a lot of the manga for naruto which i think is AWESOME. spirited away was great too.

i own all of evangelion, but havent watched the last few DVD's. i was told not to, and that they kinda ruin the series...

edit: Anyone hear of the new anime movie coming out? steamboy i believe is the name of it. done by the guy that did akira...

Ya, Steamboy looks like garbage.

Steamboy was the number 1 movie in Japan for near a month, it's supposed to be pretty good.

That's not a shock at all. Japanese have bizarre taste, but it could be good. I'm not waiting on the edge of my seat though.
