Abs are like any other muscle in your body. You dont work out the other muslces in your body everyday so keep the same routine for abs. Also just situps wont exactly do the trick. If you do only situps you are only working on section of your abdominal muscles. Do other excersizes that focus on other parts of your abs as well.

all i remember from when i was working at the gym is when the muscles are soar, thats whaen you wana work them out. some guy said tehre like silly puddy. you have to work with it first, then whe its loose. strech them out.. but you prolly already know that

Im doing well so far. No junk food or soda since i started working out and Devrim thank you so much for telling me about the seltzer water its a great substitue for soda. I have no cravings, its great i think im gonna make it. Also another question how much sugar should i allow myself. I ate and energy bar yesterday (clif bar) and it had sugar in it. So was just wondering how much sugar is ok.

honestly, as little as possible.

Try "Splenda" sweetner. It's the new thing and it's a zero calorie sweetner without all the side effects. Try adding it to iced tea or putting it on strawberries, and try not to eat sugar on a daily basis

abs take FOREVER to show up. They just kind of appear one day really.

They showed up for me after about 3 months of doing sit ups and stuff. also, make sure you do a variety of things, not just sit ups. I do like 3 sets of normal crunches (on the ballance ball). Each set is 30 sit ups and 30 side to side sit ups. I then do three sets of 40 leg lift things. Basically Im holding myself up in the air with my legs dangling. I then lift my knees up. I do one set of those then back onthe ball. I mix it up like that. I also do this new thing my trainer showed me.

let me try and discribe this. I lay on my back and then stick my legs in the air on a... like 70-80 degree angle. Then you touch your toes. Dont move your feet and dont bend your knees. Its tough. I do two sets of 25. They rape my lower abs and ive only done them for a week.

Basically my ab work out leaves my abs feeling sore (the next day). I do it every time I work out, so like 5-6 days a week.

Oh and Im at the point where I feel like its not doing anything. Its been a month and the change is very very subtle, so be willing to wait. I figure by the time summer is almost over I wont have that little pouch where my belly button is. Although its not anything big anymore, just a slight bump.

Im not so much freaking out about a 6 pack(atm at least) i just want to drop my gut lol. we did some situps and lower abs. We did the dangle and pull your legs up thing for the lower abs. we will prob start doing the ball too.

ok, in all serious now though, the best work out for your abs to make them show up in my opinion is 6 inches, lay down on your back and hold your legs 6 inches off the ground while keeping them completelly straight and keeping your arms above your head, and your head flat on the ground. the longer you can keep them up without putting them down the better. trust me it works

and another good work out is if you have a freind, lay down at your freinds feet and put your legs straight up (again keeping them straight at all times) have your freind push your legs down , dont' let them touch the ground , and pull your legs back up to your freinds head and have them push it to the right side, then the left, then the midde. that counts as one, rinse repeat, go for around 20 to start out with, then move up to 25, 30, 35, ect ect

as for the shake or bar, i suggest vanilla protien shakes with a banana (or strawberrys) blended into it and if you want to look buff put some creatine in it

nah it's chemical that accurs naterially in your body to help build muscle and it doesent have any side effects that make you look like a woman, steriods is basiclly a shit load of testosterom , and when you body has to much testosterom in it, then it converts some of that into estrigen, and then it makes you look like a girl

my brother (not talisin) said I had croch abs today rofl. apparently ist the part of your abs that point down towards your balls.

My brother is such a fag I wanted to drop kick him in the head but I couldnt stop laughing at the name "Croch abs" lol.

All that chemical stuff is for girls, just eat right and you can build muscle the normal way. Its alot more time consuming... but whatever.
