for too long i've tried to compromise my integrity for someone else's dreams. i closed my eyes my mind and let them lead me into submission. now i feel the lesser of two evils with my head bowed down, tail between my legs. and i'm afraid this is not me. inspiration it flies high when i'm looking up away from the american lie. expectations fill my head with dreams i've never dreamt. i pledge defiance to a society forged from anger, hate and greed. hoping that someday my fight will catch on to you. now my pockets full of lint and my heads full of expectations. i'm still trying to build a guiltless fortress. i'm gonna take back what's mine my heart, my body, my soul, my mind. you can have your restraints. self righteous contradictions. take back what's mine my heart, my body, my soul, my mind.

This is a typical teenage rebellion song but it works on so many levels. I'm pretty sure some won't like them though. It's kind of an "aquired taste" type thing.

Im currently lsitening to alot of Soilwork. Their new album is kickass, the best riffs ive heard in a long time. The lead singer has done so well with his vocals comapred to their last album. He has the scream and sing down great.
