i never post there, i only read the boards because its interesting to read what people have to complain about

I kinda like the alla forums. The monk forum was pretty helpful back when I was a lowbie. lol I remember back when I started playing this game in october '03, Gamefaqs was a really cool site for FFXI discussion. Now it's like a big joke.

Some sites are only good pre-game, then they become worthless (SD and JoS)

JoS private boards aren't useless... the public boards are pretty barren. Pretty funny we were at like 18,000 posts before the game released, we just got 20,000. That was on the new board alone... the old one back in like May we had atleast 10,000+

SD was the only site with good information during beta. FFXIonline was ok but it was all just forums.

Im still amazed how well these forums have done.

I put them up for like three reasons

1) Organize CKD
2) Give Ifrit a centralized location to chat.
3) Somewhere I could talk to princess at work since they blocked MSN.

Gamefaqs used to be pretty good. I used to post there quite a bit way back before the japanese release and up to a while after NA release lol, just to see stuff from people who imported the game.

Those comics were great, haha. Yeah, Vault is pretty much dead in the water now. MMORPGs usually have a popular longevity for about 10 or so months community speaking, haha

KI forum is probably just a bit jaded. I wouldn't imagine there aren't many issues people haven't bitched about over there. Some of their points are pretty valid, its just that they're retarded bitter. Posting a petition like that on an impersonal forum where people are already disgruntled and bitter over a video game is like throwing crude oil on a mummified volcano victim. I'm sure SE has heard voices like yours, just give it time. They can't churn out updates every week.

Slightly offtopic: Who on this forum said they were an english teacher?
