After quiting FFXi over 6 months ago and switching to WoW i realized one thing. I didnt just leave a MMO with a few freinds, i left a family. And the leader of that Family was named yarr. Now in my WoW guild which is #1 on the server such as CKD i realize the one thing were missing. I careing leader who loves each of us such as yarr. This not only makes me sad, but also miss FFXi and CKD so much. For all you who still play and think about quiting soon please think about all the people you've met, and what its like not seeing there name everyday in a friendly /hello! I'm sorry for the drama i caused when i quit and would definatly not repeat that if giving a 2nd chance.

When I first left DAoC I felt like I left a really special group behind. When FFXI started I felt as if there was no community. Even on IGN or KI didnt have the feel that DAoC did. Then I created the forums and I spammed it everywhere. I remember CKD did stuff back then like fafnir and Dynamis when most people on the server were doing LB2. This got a lot of attention. Then all the sudden everyone started posting. CKD or not we got a lot of attention and now the foums are like a little family.

Lesson learned -- don't entirely quit a game until you know what the next game is. Too many people leave then regret the choice later when there's no turning back. Leave your options open people!

As for Yarr -- ya he can be a real ass sometimes, but when it comes right down to it Yarr is the kind of leader that will always put his team first. He's the glue that holds alot of ckd together and keeps us striving for more. He'd give his every last gil to a ls member who was seriously in need. When people outside the ls talk about him and how he's a jerk -- well, they just don't see the side of him that we do.

Sometimes I think we don't appreciate the people in our linkshell enough. Times go by that we don't even say thanks for efforts made on our behalf. So for all of you guys that have gone out of your way for ZMs or CoP or anything else - thanx.

Yarr has a way with words a lot of the time and has to put up with a lot of crap because when he jumps to our defense or brags on us everyone wants to think of him as some kind of cocky jerk... whatever. All I know is anytime, anywhere I hear people talking bad about Yarr that don't even know him... I'll probably be there making people dislike me for taking up for him too.

I first partied with Yarr around level 40. You know how sometimes you can party with people and not really look closely at their character model? Well, for the first week or so I thought Yarr was a she. haha. Seriously. I just had this impression that all white mages besides myself are she's. Kinda like the way I assume all cats are she's irl. So I partied with him a few times, then the one day I formed a party without him, and he messaged me >>Don't leave me Whisp.
