I wasn't really sure where to post this, cause I don't really post here lol. Anyways, >.> 3 days ago I zoned to Ru'Aun Gardens, and my computer froze up as it was loading the screen, and after a few mins I DC'd and got error message "FFXI-4001 No responce from server." Now every time I try to log in it freezes up and I get the exact same error message. I've never had this problem before either.

I've sent an email to SE =/ but no responce from them yet. I've cleaned up my computer of stuff I don't use, defragmented, uninstalled and reinstalled FFXI. But I still can't get it to work >< same exact thing.

Any ideas?

Maybe the file is corrupted on your CD =/...but seriously, I dont know. You could try to install Zilart with someoen else CD maybe?

Was it the first time you've been to sky? If that's the case maybe it was a bad install like Kay said, but you didn't realize it til now. If not then I really don't know what to tell you. ;_; Any time I've had major technical problems I just end up reinstalling the game.

Yes, it was my first time to sky, I wanted to see what it looked like :x I'm trying to re-install Rise of the Zilart currently atm, I guess I'll see what happens

Ah, that does make sense then... I hope it works out for you, if not, I would still recommend just reinstalling the whole game if you still get the error. It could have even been something stupid like the new patch didn't dl right, but hopefully you can get away with just reinstalling Zilart. (oh and make sure you register it too)

I re-installed the entire game earlier today already ><

People often get crash like that like when they log in Tavnazia on a computer that doesn't have the area or something similar. But since you said you reinstalled FF+ zilart and still get this, it either mean one file of zilart is corrupted on the CD, or there is a problem with your account/computer

I had the same problem, dude. Just delete the sound file for Ru'Aun. It should be song file 210.

My friend experienced the same thing with his character when he first zoned into lower delkfutt's tower. Funny thing was, it was his videocard that was the problem.
