everywhere I turn, trying to get into school again, there is always something new blocking my path.

this time? i try to register for classes and i have a new "hold" (as of May 21) preventing me: immunization records. they didnt call me, they didnt mail or email me anything about immunization records. instead they wait until the end of may and rely on me to register for classes and be rejected online before i even know about this shit, almost four months after i applied and only 1 week before i actually move to georgia. Why, when I call them every week and ask, "Is there anything else I need to know that will prevent me from having everything go smoothly?" do they always say, "Nope."

So how does this new "hold" affect me?
-I have to go out to a Wellness Center and get a shot
-I have to pay 20 bucks for that shot
-I have to go to my moms office and fax the info to the school
-Since Georgia State Immunization Office says it takes them 4 freakin days to process a fax, I have to hope they process it by Friday because I'm only allowed to sign up for classes 8am-11am on Monday mornings
-If Georgia State fucks up one more time, I'll end up applying for classes the week they start (or worse: never). That's what I get for applying 5 months early.

I hate groups of people.. lol. When you get people into large groups (schools, businesses, etc.) they always find ways to not do what theyre supposed to do and fuck up the client/customer. I got to see it first-hand while working at my last real job-a medical lab.

If anyone thinks I'm overreacting, I'm telling you it's like this everywhere I turn, everything I try to do, I'm becoming so pessimistic about everything. I just need things to roll my way for once. I dont like when my future is reliant on other people's actions. No one is reliable in this world. I wonder what the next blockade is in my path to knowledge.....

my college does the same stuff, its like they are trying to give you a hard time just so you drop out
like with my finical aid, they randomly cut it all the time and they don't tell me about it... so end of the semester i end up having to pay like $300 + late fees (and wtf they didn't tell me so how was i suppose to know it was late!)
i hate that.
and just give up if you want to ask why it was cut. because no one knows and no one wants to look it up.
and none of my school computer systems can talk to each other, so you end up going back and forth between buildings.
sigh. yeah.

Yea my college sucks shit like this too, especially our finance department ... and I work as a student up there. I goto DeVry and it's a corporate run P.O.S.

I feel ya, I know people who have been shafted and screwed over by my school, I know exactly your frustration.

so anyway im just going to use this thread to complain about shit, dont read it if you dont want:

first time i talked to Georgia State office of financial aid they said all i need to do is fill out my FAFSA and 1 other form, and they'll take care of the rest and to call back in a few weeks. a few weeks went by and i called them, and they said now i need to fill out another FAFSA because summer and fall are different schoolyears, plus they said the deadline for aid has already passed before i was even accepted but i might get lucky so i should keep trying, and to call back in a few weeks and i asked them if there is anything else i need to know and they said no. a few more weeks go by and i call them to check up on how its going and they said i need to fill out a transfer-student aid form and to call back in a few weeks and i asked is there anything else i need to know and they said no, and they said i should know how much aid i receive around mid-may. fast forward 2 weeks to today, i call them and they said i have to send them a Georgia 2004 state tax form and also i have to print an online form and sign it and send it in, and i told them the Georgia State Univ Registrars office has my georgia tax form, but they say every department is a different entity and they cant just share forms from one department to the next, and they said to call back in a few weeks and i asked them is there anything else i need to know and they said no.

getting my georgia state tax form is a pain in the ass, it takes about 6 weeks. i already had to do it once. by the way school starts in about 3 weeks.

F R U S T R A T I O N

As I have said all along, THEY DONT WANT TO GIVE OUT FINANCIAL AID. THEY PRETEND LIKE THEY DO BUT WHEN IT ALL COMES DOWN TO IT THEY WILL FIND SOME KIND OF REASON NOT TO. Why should they even give out financial aid? Do I deserve it? Not really, no one does.




I went to the doctor's today for my college immunization, set an appointment for 1pm. So I show up on time, but guess what time I actually get in? 1:50pm. And people in line after me were going in before me. WTF is that? The shot only took 45 seconds, why did they make me wait so long?

Then I go to NTB (oil change place). I get there at 2:50pm and ask the guy how long til my car is done (just an oil change and tire rotation). He says "20 minutes." Of course being the efficient person I am, I used this time to call Georgia State because I know they always put me on hold a long time. at 3:35 Georgia State finally answers my call, which I talked about above, but my car still had not even entered the garage. and only 1 single person was ahead of me the whole time while they had like 15 techs and 8 garages. at 4:30 i was sitting in the lobby with all the other people there and we were all complaining about how long this NTB takes to finish our cars. Since I was there the longest, they were telling me I should go up to the front and demand they finish my car. instead i walked out to the garage to see whats up and my car is just sitting in the garage and no one is working on it. i went up to the front desk and demanded my car and they typed a bit on their computers and came up with "Oh, yes, your car is done."

yay lets see what I can rant about tomorrow. although i doubt anyone read this far.

I'm frusterated too.

My brother is a pothead and in those circles, ect. I'm not with any of that I just play my video games. Now a week ago we get a letter saying "Word is your sons are selling meth laced with cocaine. Blah blah parent talk". Of course my parents know I wouldn't do that but my brother they aren't sure of. Anyways, now the neighborhood thinks I'm a meth dealer and I don't know who sent the letter. I hate having a clean reputation but still being accused of doing such an awful thing just because I have a brother like that. It's not the first time, at school the counselor came up to me personally and make sure i wanted to stay in honors, just because my brother has a .5 cumulative GPA. Did I mention my dad is my counselor's husband's boss, too.

Goddamnit I hate being judged because of my family. I'm frusterated
