I wondered a while ago what was the ingredient of those subligar to cost as much haha, I wouldnt be the one who try desynthing them tho. It's a nice idea Square had to prevent inflation.

Isnt there any piece of Barone set that could be desynth into a wyrm horn and resynthetized into a Barone Body (forgot the name)?

I wouldn't, even if it's true. Desynthesis is so goddamn random that even with overwhelming moghancement and all the other best conditions and 50 levels over the cap, you can still fail 10 or more times in a row.
Unless you're so rich that 8mil is nothing to you, I wouldn't do it, because with desynth it's so easy to fail and lose the 8mil you saved up for all those months.

But anyways, yes desyth is too damn risky. Desyth has a high chance of HQ when successful, but with desything, failure is common. When u fail a desyth, 9 times out of 10, you are going to lose the material. Not worth the risk unless 8 mil is something u can toss away. If it is... can I be your friend?^^

The chance of losing material on a desynthesis break is no more or less common than losing material on any break. After desynthing 10000+ items, I'm fairly certain. = P

Well yeah. It has pretty decent stats but its like other items its just a pretty thing that you dont need.

I think I remember seeing or hearing about a LS that desynth's their kirin osode's into shining cloths. Since the whole LS has one they dont want to see the msg "You fail to meet the requirements to obtain the Kirin's Osode". They said they much rather have a chance at a shining cloth.
