seriously though I bet a naked brd/whm could lvl to 75

i was wondering if i could slide my brd (currently at lvl 40) to 75 w/o getting any of the af and just using ah gear. I guess this is my answer

I know some brds that have told me they would just go AFk for like 40mins and leech xp because it didnt matter. People were just "omgz we got a brd!". You can sing anything and they will think its awesome.

Man early on in the game I used to suck.

I had shell earrings until level 40 on my blm lolol

no you need to stop fooling yourself, its like the easiest job to get invites heh

actually... whisp might have point, the most popular jobs atm seem to be:
smn, brd, nin, rng, mnk. Being that so many ppl are taking these jobs up,
I've had to sit with my pt flag up as a brd for a couple hours. Granted, it's
not what drks, drgs, and thfs have to go through, but to be lfp as a brd for
that long is really strange. I think also at one point there were 2 or 3
other brds in my range seeking as well >.>

well... come to think of it, it was a particularly low traffic time. for w/e
reason i've always had trouble finding pts as a mage job during the day
on the weekends, which was when this incident happened to me. Could've
just been because of that

My gear leveling as a bard was embarassingly bad. I still got parties because the quality of bard gear effects the potency of bard party buff songs so little that people don't care. I wore windurst conquest gear up until AF and had a leftover wand from my whm as a weapon until I had a Shellbuster which was replaced by a earth and light staff at level 60+. I had decent rings and such and really didn't have problems landing debuffs or lullaby on xp mobs, and I didn't have much in the way of +1 instruments either (they offer very little in the way of potency... dual minuet at 75 with +1 instrument makes a difference of 6 attack total omg). In short bard can get away with horribly shitty gear and still be good to the party as long as they keep up with their relatively cheap songs and have a decent amount of CHR depending on their level.

I'm pretty sure BRD is the only job u can level with any race naked (Except Instrument) all the way to 75. Can you name another? O_O

I said any Race ;P I doubt a Galka smn with no equip will be very useful.
