Point of interest: I have never successfully camped any NM in my life. I've killed Stroper Chyme 11 times, Ashmaker Gotblut (Yughott Grotto) 4 times, and actually claimed the Valkurm Emperor but died as a level 32 DRK. I have not gotten any drops.

Camping is something that amazes me as a player. Level grinding is one thing, but willingly sitting in front of a computer for hours on end simply for the CHANCE to obtain something of value is sheer insanity.

Last year, me and Madisonlee camped Hoo Mjuu for an entire week straight...we killed him...probably 15-20 times and got the drop on like...the 6th day.
Yarr, Talisin, Whisp and a few others were camping to get Tal the staff that day too. We also got probably a billion pairs of zealotts mitts, and I unwittingly sold them in my bazzar for 2k each because Madi said thats all they were worth....turned out they were 10k each at the time...*throws things at madi* I love you so much~

Typical NM camp:

NM dies just minutes before you arrive, but you don't know.
That's why no one is at the camp. You say to yourself, "nice,
no one is here."
You wait, and wait, and wait,
after 3 hours, you see an /anon show up
you get mad and tense up cause you have to pay attention
so you start spinning your camera around to make sure
the NM isnt behind you,
and when you turn back around,
the /anon is fighting the NM
and later when you check the AH you find out the /anon just sold the item you wanted

this game warps the concept of time so much, 3-4 hours seems like nothing. seriously so many days went by where I had been online 4+ hours and accomplished so little. it's like, I could have actually done something with that 4+ hours, wtf am I doing? lol

the probelm is that I got nothing to Do at all haha. If my Friends want to go see a movie i go haha i don't turn them down.

I agree with TS on that. Every "short" thing always end up taking 3hours more than they should. I'm not sure its possible to do any task in this game outside town (windurst excluded) in less than 1 hour.
