And the all time best:

-In game currency (Gil) is easy to acquuire without imbalancing the economy

The player no longer has to sort out multiple Linkshells from friends, eager newbies, and Linkshell handouts from random vaginas. Instead, all Linkshells are viewed on the "Linkshell List" menu, where one shell is selected for activation. Greyed out entries note disbanded Linkshells or banned memberships.

Tarutarus can overcome height difficulties by wearing stilts

For Japanese players only, a Dating Sim interface will now be incorporated into existing towns. Current beta-testing is underway in Windurst. The Dating Sim interface allows compatability with NPCs of the opposite sex based on dialogue choices. When enough dialogue choices are made, a cutscene "date" takes place.

- Odin is the first summon available in the game. He frequently leaves a bloody mess after dealing with his last victim.

- Monsters can and will knock players off of their Chocobo before trampling them to death

- The Griffolope, Baticore, and Berserhemoth require coordinated groups of Dragoon attack squads.

- Chocobo Riders have the difficult task of spearing mini-Wyverns in combat. Some players prefer to "wimp out" by targetting small lizards instead of helping others. Tarutarus are often speared accidentally in the ensuing confusion.

- Over 400 unique monster models.

- Appearance of old FF favorites including WarMech, ExDeath, Umaro, and Kefka.
