I just finished the sidekick quest, and I'm the proud new owner of my very own fat bottomed girl. I'll post screens here:

I think I'm the first NA on the server to do this quest. But I'm not sure. All in all, as a first impression she hits really weak. She'll voke stuff as soon as she engages it, and basically just hits stuff. If you get aggro she won't go running after the mob, and if you log out, she logs out with you. The cool down is 20 hours on the Signal Pearl.

I have to say, it's neat. But, unless this thing is going to level up or something, I don't really see the point. Haha.

What are the question and answer options when you are getting the quests done? They said your answers determine your sidekick's race/gender/haircolor... I wanna know the options and results so I dont end up with a Galka. I want a fat bottomed Elvaan chick too :P

You can choose race, gender, and name with the first part of the quest. Then by investigating your NPC in Jeuno, depending on who you ask, and what you answer, your NPC will look differently. The questions are really vague (mine were, "Does she have long bangs?" and "Is her hair my favourite colour?") and you don't really know what to expect. I don't mind the result of my answers, but I would have prefered to have had the shorter haird Elvaan girl with the curly bangs. Haha.

The NPC to start the quest is next to the AH in Upper Jeuno.

I am assuming they all start off as WARs? Or can you choose job as well?

and do you get to pick their job class? or is it pretty much set to warrior?

From what I can tell from meeting up with her at the Rendevous Point in Ru'Lude Gardens, she is level 30, and her combat style current is "shield". I think when she levels up, that I'll be able to change it. I'll post a few screens when they're done uploading.

And she is a 20 hour recast. ;x

You need a level 40 job for the final BC. It's solo, and capped at level 40. And if you notice, my girl got new boots!

Her armor is slightly different when you pop her in Ru'Lude Gardens, if you look.

Supposedly they have "combat types" which all start off as "Sheild", and this will eventually change into another type depending how you fight your battles.

No specifics yet, but i'm assuming if you let them always tank, cure them a lot etc, they'll stay in a tank type role, if your damage output is low but you seem to be fine for healing they might turn into some kinda of DD,
etc.

By the way she's wearing RSE now i'd say she's probably already on the way to moving into a support/mage type role... The NPC do have MP, you just have to get them to use it.
