Well first, I've heard it's a static 2 second delay. Which will be botted within days, unless they've done something to kick the bots too (doubtful). When nidhogg popped, only CKD and my LS were in the room. I saw Nidhogg pop on top of me, but my first target was a darter, and it went purple damn quick. Someone, somewhere (my brain sucks lol) said we have a 1.2 second delay due to our latency vs. the jp. Thus there's in reality only .8 seconds between the hnm showing up and it becoming claimable (hence the almost instant purple on Nid last night). It can be botted I think, hopefully not. At least for a short period, NA do have a fair shot. And I do hope for all of us, that it stays this way so that all of us can enjoy some of these very shiny objects.

Congrats to CKD, was a hell of a fight.

If S-E isnt retarded, delay will be random making it impossible to bot. However, a bot could still chain 3-4 quick ability really quickly during a small intervall, but it still give people a chance to claim.

the amount of time before you can claim is not 2 seconds i'm pretty sure. i was playing around with it trying to claim stuff while popping steam cleaner. If you do try to claim it before allowed that ability of yours is penalized for 2 seconds (provoke is at least), that's probably where everyone is getting this 2 second thing.

I love how these topics have dates on them now, to distinguish them from future camps. I can't believe SE did something good for once. :D I do hope they randomize the claimable pop time but I guess we will see in a couple days.

well, from what I experienced today at KB... the new timer was just enough for me to spam a "/targetnpc" macro until my curser was over him then /ma "Stun" <t>

basically I didn't have enough time to get a message that I was pulling to fast I got it right on time :D
