Following Whisp's post who do you feel the main character is the best from the series of 6-10. I started at 6 because it seems thats the point that people really knew the series and ended with 10 because of course 11 doesnt have one.

As you know I am sooo into ffonline and im kinda sad that they dont make any new posts but here is something you might find interesting. This poll consisted of Over 5,000 votes from players like us. But Lets see what we think also.

Cloud wins. I'm pretty sure of that already ^^;. I never liked any of the main characters, really...but I chose Squall because I like VIII the most, and his Limit Break animation on Jumbo Cactuar amused me :D

FFVI didn't exactly have a main character. A part of the story was centered around Terra but that doesn't make her the main character. There was a lot of the story centered around Celes (especially after the World is split) and theres some pretty large segments for Edgar/Sabin and Cyan, etc.

The story was split into so many little sections for each character, and the party customization was vast that it's hard to pinpoint it onto a single character. It's just easy to say it was Terra because she's in the Intro and Ending. :P

Anyway. Squall? Nah, he was an ass. Zidane? I can't remember anything about him that made me like him. Tidus? The guy was a bit of a pansy. That kinda really only leaves Cloud, lol.

i'd vote Kain or Cecil personally. but of those selections, gotta go with Cloud even though he got overhyped

I agree with Ket, 6 didn't really have a main char... so while I vastly enjoyed that game, it's eliminated from my vote... but of all the chars, Celes was my favorite

Cloud... he was cool, but... I dunno... his backstory is so messed up, that I still don't totally understand it

Squall... he's kinda like me irl, in that he hates to rely on others, and is that guy in the corner...

Zidane... hated him. no saving graces whatsoever.

Tidus... wasn't bad, but hardly cool enough to qualify as a fave char

Cloud had like no personality at all eh. Dunno, I liked all "main" charater the same I guess. I think FF9 is the most under rated tho, and ff7 the most overrated :P

I think Any fo the FFVI charatcers besides Gau, Relm, stratgo Gogo,, and Cyan have more merit as main characters than Zidane.

I really loved Sabin, Celes, Locke and between them theyd get my vote for best mains~

Of the options still available... even though Squall is an apathetic loser i still like him better than a jock whiney for his daddy.

yeah that's what I loved about VI was that there was side story with every single char basically and they were all pretty well developed

..............anyways,Vivi for the win-but i voted squall(FF8),card game summons bosses seifer edea all of those guys were cool,even irvine using his limits were hot,jamming your remote to boost up your summons,Cloud-i realy like the game but the story is just so fucking #@$@#$#@ or maybe its just that i was young when i played it,i like 9 not the best but like osme1 said defi underated-so far id have to say-Squall and FF8 ftw-

I hate Squall. Especially when he's being emotional and he sweeps his arm through the air. Seriously, play the game, you'll see.

And I know Cecil turns to the camera and does that weird hand flick thing but that's just awesome and a funny quirk, Squall's hand sweep is fucking retarded

Same here. Cecil is the reason I chose PLD on FFXI :P And named my character after his dad. FFIV ftw.

I chose Terra b/c she was my favorite character on FFVI which is my second favorite FF. I do agree with all the above posts there is no "real" main character in FFVI but I Liked Terra the most from this list.

FFVIII and Squall both sucked more than any FF & FF main character IMO.
