I'm Ganiman, leader of the Avengers linkshell on Phoenix server. I check out the web stats a couple times a month for our website, and I came across something new. Cobra Kai Dojo popped up as one of the (many) top referrers to our website. We are home to the FFXIclopedia, and I found the link on the main page here. Very cool to see that FFXIclopedia continues to spread through all corners of Vana'diel. You have a nice site here, and I welcome you all to participate in the growth of FFXIclopedia. Anyone can add content. It has over 7000 articles to date, and there are still so many things that could be added. The beauty is that anyone can add anything, unlike some sites where you need to get through some administrator to make a change to a guide or whatever.

A little background on Avengers: We started as a 6-man static party over a year ago now. I purchased a linkshell for us so we would look "official" when we were xping. Before long, we had a small website up with forums where we could post messages while we worked during the day. People on Phoenix found our small site and we found ourselves handing out pearls. We have grown a great deal since the early days. We started with our core members around level 33-34, and now just about every member has at least 1 job 65+ (some have 2-3). A council was formed, made up mostly of the original static party members, and membership into the linkshell is now voted upon by the council after applicants meet certain requirements (level is not a requirement, although we attract mainly high level players). We have always been a "social linkshell". Since the start there have been more than 5 different static parties formed within our own membership. The calendar that is integrated with our forums has proved to be a priceless addition to organizing all kinds of events, from low level Garrison to AF coffer key hunts, to high level NM killing. Currently I think our main focus is to push through COP missions and get access to sea. We have accomplished many, many things together. I am optimistic (I'm the leader, I have to be :D) and I believe that our "social linkshell" as some call it will be killing HNMs and possibly doing Dynamis runs. Many of our members are also members in HNM and Dyanmis linkshells as well, but almost every single one of them calls Avengers home.

That's the brief history of our linkshell. FFXIclopedia has been running for about 6 months now and content has been added from players from almost all the servers. Thank you for adding a link to FFXIclopedia on the main page (even if it is the last one >.> j/k ^^)

Actually your story sounds extremely similiar to ours. CKD was formed from several perms. I was came from our leaders (yarr's perm) party. Over time though our original perm party thin'ed out. Me and yarr are the only ones left.

Interesting story. It does mirror CKDs starts a little. The only difference being that CKD was formed because of a clash between my self and someone else. They way the ls is run is quite the same.

I always like seeing people from other servers here. I can tell from the traffic we get that alot of people stop by to see what we are up too. Still, its nice to hear it in person rather than see a number.

Ignore Mikey, hes mexican and sometimes he just isnt use to the way normal non-mexican people do things.

Hillary Clinton what? So yeah, anyway, great to have contact with linkshells from other servers. It seems the way our 2 linkshells began is the way to make a solid, long lasting organization.



Glad to see you think the wiki is badass collection :D I can't take credit for all the material in there myself, I add what I can and I pay the bills. There are some real hardcore people who add crazy amounts of content.
