I'll be totally Honest. Aside from CKD, I have no idea how any Linkshell was formed. Valour, TTK and Fate Sealers. I have no idea how any of them came to be.

I know Valour use to be TheSentinals and that I hated the Sentinals, but I love Valour lol.

lol Well, I can't speak for them now because i'm no longer in it, but at both linkshell's highpoints you have to admit....lol I mean taking down kirin with 0 effort whenever we felt like it...isn't exactly not powerful lol.

Kirin is about as hard as walking a dog.

I think the real "proof of strenght" in this game is versitility. the ability to be thrown into any unknown situation and come out on top. Combine that with a dertermand mind and you get what I think CKD is. A linkshell who isnt afraid to jump into unknown situations and not stop for anything until the job is done.

Monarchy is nothing more than a "one trick Pony" who whored sky back when.

lol No one is denying that CKD is powerful yarr... But monarchy certainly wasn't a one trick pony haha. Just because we didnt bother to camp kings back when KFC and IW owned them because we knew the chances of claim was 99.9%...that made monarchy a one trick pony? lol Because we didnt bother with drama-wrapped mini HNMs like roc and serket and bune, that made us a one trick pony? Just because we didnt bother to try tiamat and jorm more than once or twice because SMN ls wouldnt let you try more than once? That made us a one trick pony? Lol hate to break it to you Yarr but the only practical thing left in this game to do is Sky... Well back then anyways. Kings have seemed to free up alot wich is really cool, I heard another NA got a dalmatica wich is awsome.

lol Hey I was being nice. Im in a good mood today lol. Hmm well.. Im pretty young compared to most ffxi veterans but from what I was told Hokuten was around the first biggest, Yarr split from that and made CKD, sentinels formed, CSB was getting started, FS was just named an "HNM ls" when I joined sentinels at like lvl 66, then hokuten started dieing (( it never was doing good in the first place )) CSB stayed out of the scene because alot of members are HK I guess, CKD was always doing well, FS grew in size and power as well, sentinels then merged with DLS and made final heaven~ that busted rather quickly, and Zelph broke off and Made Valour~ the beloved LS we have today. From what I was told amidst all of that Aiame left CKD with some others and Monarchy formed, and quietly grew (( aiame was always quiet in public )), then a crap load of other HNM ls started to pop up, JoS, Melior, and some others lol. Thats all I know from expierience and from what I was told, anyone feel free to make corrections on that, im not too sure about it lol- just a rough sketch

Ranger, along with Ninja, was a very very popular "second job" choice. It was very powerful but requires a lot of starting capital to fund Shihei/Arrows, etc.

So it was the prefect second job choice since you could fund it using your other job. Once you have another job to 75 it's easy to see which jobs are "the most powerful" and generally these jobs get a lot of people taking them up.

I just hate how 99% of all rangers, especially pre 60 are stuck up asshats.

99% of all the people on our server are stuck-up asshats regardless of their job.

but to stay on topic, I have no idea how FS formed, and I doubt any of you guys would want to be bored with the story of how my other LSs prior to joining FS came to form, anyway I think I posted all that info in some other thread some other time.

well, to get back on topic... Melior was created by joeyatlas after putting up with the BS of valour.

Valour was created from the Sentinels, then Zelphes went AWOL and mirza took over, then became Valours so he had the linkshell, then when zel came back the LS changed back to valour. Zel almost neglected Mirza for doing all of this, so mirza kinda quit. From what i hear, Valour is just a big happy family now, aint that great?

lol i think you're right... the common scenario seems to be

big bad linkshell A has a plethora of members.

One or some of the members get's fucked over, greedy, or kicked out and goes on to form/join big bad linkshell B.

There you have the history of every LS evar

When I first started the game, my first few friends were all tarutarus, they were varnik, supafly, dankaru and docri.

We all got a big laugh when we learned to do macros, and we all thought that "/em pulls <t>'s tail" to use on the mithras was the funniest thing in the world.

Well, eventually we had enough money, that we all chipped in and formed the "TailYankers", later on, other friends joined this elite lvl 12+ only linkshell, players such as Madisonlee, and other people who must not be very important because I can't remember their names.

Now, that I have restarted, I ran into Varnik again (only now, on his new mithra character Mihhmic) and we once again to live up to the old fun and glory from a year and a half ago and created "YankersOfTails"

Thats the story of my linkshell. Thank you.

um lets see ttk i know that grim and some other guy used to pretty much run it and broke off grim made ttk and sam-something made final destination. Grim started getting members and got a few people from my old ls potheads so i joined ttk when i was i think 53. Finally got a lot of members mid-range with like 2 75 i think. Started doing baby hnm roc simurgh. The sack holders pushed to do more zm runs and from then on pretty much everyone had sky. Started doing sky and things like that people lvld and ls grew. I was in it from when it started to around the peak of the ls. I wanna see if drama will cool off and do something with fafnir

Guess I'd say the story best.

Leaks and I knew each other before FFXI (we met in the Payon weapon shop for those who are familiar with Ragnarok Online). We became pretty good friends through that. Leaks got this hella expensive item one day and put out like 600k or something crazy (basically 95% of the money needed) to make a guild on that game, and we called it Fate Sealers. Shortly after, I got banned, but then around rolled October and there was FF.

Leaks' video card was screwed up at first so I got a few days in before he did :P but I ended up on Sereph and he ended up on Ifrit and made me delete my level 8 warrior and remake a character on Ifrit (even though I passed him up like the first day :P lol)

Anyway, we created Fate Sealers the next month (late November).
At first we kinda went crazy on the pearls, gave them to generally anyone who we thought was pretty cool. Back then (before we really even had any idea what HNMs were, we decided to make it just an LS with a bunch of good friends). We picked up a lot of people along the way.. Ifalna, Thienan, Denan, Limitation, Saie, Rushal, Arkin, Pix, Seiki.. hell, a lot more than I could name... hell I even remember Fatty being in it at the start of the game (back when he was 'Zacorus').

And to this day, still going strong (even with the original leader gone from the game). I think FS is probably (there could be older, not sure, just none that I know of) the oldest north american LS on ifrit.

Don't want to start anything, just gonna clear up some stuff. Grim didn't have much of a leadership roll in the original yellow ttk. It was Sama and Lyndis that were co-leaders. They had a disagreement and thats what caused the break up. I don't know why Grim was chosen to lead the new TTK. anyway The blue TTK was basicly "Lyndis's side" and Final Distination was "Sama's side".

Sorry if thats beside the point, Just wanted to set things straight.
