Actually new findings and research indicate that the earth really wasnt as "explosive and volcanic" as we had all thought. Water may have been formed on the earth far earlier and may have even been around almost right after the crust was formed.

The earth was probably just a rock forming when it was hit by a comet (speculation) that added just the right elements to create water on earth.

Science is fun since what was fact yesterday may be a laughing joke next week.

I think it was when the earth collided with what we now know as the moon that really got things bubbling.

I disagree with the quantum fluctuation, that's still too speculative. They seem to be embracing that theory because it's all they currently have that is somewhat feasible

that's actually a pretty stable theory because the moon is supposedly hardened mantle. if a comet hit the earth it would have left a large crater spewing mantle into the atmosphere/space and it began revolving and it formed the moon.
